Daughters of the American Revolution Schedules Lineage Workshop July 19
The Mary Tyler Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will host a lineage workshop on July 19 in Taylor Auditorium at the Tyler Public Library, 201 S. College Ave., Tyler, DAR spokesperson June Everheart said.

Texas State DAR Registrar Judy Calloway Ostler will be the featured speaker and will instruct attendees on how to prepare the official documents required for membership in the DAR. Mary Tyler members also will be present to answer questions.

The workshop will begin at 10 a.m. and be completed at 4 p.m.

A fee of $10 will be charged to cover materials furnished to those in attendance by Ms. Ostler and for a sack lunch.

Individuals interested should contact Annette Maddox at 903-566-7682 or givpat@aol.com or June Everheart at 903-877-4501 or everheart@suddenlink.net for registration forms and other details.

The workshop is open to the public but requires attendees to register before July 14. Blank registration forms are also available at the Tyler Public Library in the Local and Family History Room on the third floor.

The DAR is a heritage organization whose members descend from at least one ancestor who was a patriot in the American Revolution. The organization promotes patriotism, education, and history, and its members are active in many community projects, Mrs. Everheart said.
