The movers and shakers of prime-time television came to a fork in the road of morality, and took the wrong turn. The programs are filled with violence and pornography, violence that is pointless and has become the be-all and end-all of the national television. A large percentage of situations portrayed on TV concerns something sexual or violent-event to the commercials. With few exceptions it seems that Hollywood cannot produce anything that is intellectually stimulating or innocently funny any more.

What goes for comedy is nothing but barnyard humor dressed up in a Madison Avenue setting. In trying to set the moral tone of this country, Hollywood is doing everything it can to force feed the entire viewing public this obscene trash.

The producers of television have prostituted the very essence of truthfulness and honesty in their vendetta against the conservative populace in America. It is time for level-headed parents and conservative leaders to show some leadership in this dilemma.

The ordinary citizens of this country must hold the politicians' feet to the fire in order to assemble some vestige of reality.

Through the misuse of television, the citizens of our country are becoming lost in their own self-indulgence. The germ of our destruction has started with the smallest microbe of fallen morality. Beware the inducements of a feel-good attitude.
