Pump Jacks Game With Coppell Rained Out
COPPELL — On a night when the East Texas Pump Jacks were scheduled to visit Coppell to face the defending champion Copperheads, it turns out Mother Nature was the victor.
Pre-game rain forced the postponement of Saturday night’s game, forcing the two teams into a doubleheader today at 5:05 p.m.
Following Sunday’s double-dip, the Pump Jacks will enjoy a day off before heading to McKinney for a two-game series against the first-place Marshals.
East Texas will return to Driller Park on Thursday to kick off the Pump Jacks’ Independence Day Weekend celebration.
Thursday’s contest will be another Thirsty Thursday, with 50-cent small soft drinks.
On Friday, the Jacks will celebrate Independence Day with a giveaway; the first 500 fans through the gates will receive a free Pump Jacks inaugural season T-shirt, sponsored by Benchmark Events & Promotions.
On Saturday, the Pump Jacks will host a special post-game fireworks display. On Sunday, July 6, East Texas will host the first “Family Night” of the season, with discounts on tickets and meal packages available.
