RESPONSE: In reply to Mr. Pisano's letter of "love." There were a few things he left out. I don't recall Jesus calling himself "reverend" and I believe that Matthew 23:9 specifically said, "And, call no man your father on earth: for one is your father, which is in heaven."

Mr. Pisano's "feelings" are regrettable; what "feelings" does he have about all the so-called priests in his faith who are and have been abusing children for years?

As for strangers, our churches give assistance to travelers passing through Mineola who need food, shelter or fuel, gladly with the love of Jesus in our hearts. I greet everyone because I have the Spirit of God in my heart and I regret we did not meet.

I doubt if there is a man or woman in Tyler or Mineola who does not grind their teeth at the thought of someone abusing children, I know it tears at my soul. I have a precious great-granddaughter who I pray for daily.

Oh yes, one other thing, Luke said, "And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceives not the beam that is in thine own eye?"
