June 29: Clean Sweep
ROSES: Early Saturday morning, June 21, over 50 Lake Tyler West residents and Smith County Commissioner Bill McGinnis along with his wife, Lynn, joined together in an effort to assist the city and county clean up all the Lake Tyler West roadways.
Following the trash collection, residents placed their garbage bags in a dumpster provided by the city of Tyler.
We say "thank you" to Smith County Commissioner McGinnis and his wife, Lynn, for all your help and support. We know that this is certainly not in your job description.
We would also like to express our appreciation to Tyler City Mayor Barbara Bass, councilmen Chris Simons and Nathaniel Moran for attending our Lake Tyler Property Owner's Association luncheon following the trash collection.
We were so pleased to have this opportunity to express our spirit of cooperation and a true desire to partner with the city of Tyler in keeping Lake Tyler beautiful.
Lake Tyler West is a public lake that is owned by the city of Tyler and is a wonderful resource for the city. The lake provides drinking water for the city, along with parks, swimming and recreation for boaters, campers and fishermen.
