June 29: Someone Pays
Sen. Obama has been proposing a myriad of programs that he would implement if elected. The list is long and is growing with each new group to whom he speaks. This pandering of change can only be implemented at high costs for the American public - read the working class - as a big increase in taxes.

Also, insurance for everyone doled out by the government, something akin to Medicare, can not be easily put into effect. Right now Medicare is just under $100 a person. Throw in a supplement of $25 to $50 to have effective coverage. We all know that not everyone will pay or be able to pay this amount. Even if insurance were to be $20 a month for a family of four there would be many who would not pay, just as now.

Now then, how do we "change" that?
