Smith County
The Chapel Hill (Rodessa) Field will see the Moss Estate Well No. 1 drilled by Southwest Operating to 12,000 feet in the Newell, W Survey, A-743. Location is six miles north of Arp in a wildcat field or the Chapel Hill (Cotton Valley) Field.
In a lease two-tenths of a mile southeast of Sand Flat, in a wildcat field, the Fair Oil Well No. 1 will be drilled to 9,000 feet by Goldston Oil Corp. It will lie in the Flores, F Survey, A-9.
Cherokee County
The Hall Well No. 1 has been drilled four miles southeast of Rusk in a wildcat field by Cordillera Texas, in the Dikes, W Survey, A-211 to 12,000 feet. This well may also be drilled in the Sym-Jac, West (Hosston) Field.
Cordillera Texas will drill the T.A. Perdue Well No. 2 in a wildcat field to 11,000 feet in the Walters, T Survey, A-879. Location is four miles southeast of Rusk.
In a lease 3.7 miles northeast of Mixon, in the Overton (Cotton Valley Sand) Field, the Barnes Gas Unit 1 Well No. 14 will be drilled by Southwestern Energy. It will hit 12,500 feet in the Lewis, J Survey, A-507 and may also be drilled in a wildcat field.
Freestone County
XTO Energy will drill the Kirsch Gas Unit Wells No. 22, No. 23, No. 28 and No. 31 in the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The wells will hit 13,200 feet in the McAnnulty, J Survey, A-409. The No. 22 is 4.7 miles northeast of Teague, No. 23 is five miles northeast of Teague, No. 28 is 4.7 miles from Teague and No. 31 is 5.1 miles northeast of Teague.
In the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field, XTO Energy is preparing to drill the John Henderson Gas Unit Well No. 12 and the John Henderson Gas Unit Well No. 13. Well No. 12 has a total depth of 13,200 feet and No. 13 has a total depth of 13,300 feet. Both wells will lie in the King, M Survey, A-354, 3.8 miles northeast of Teague.
Anadarko Petroleum will drill the Kelly "B" Well No. 4 in the Bear Grass (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. The well will lie in the Diaz, G Survey, A-178 and is 2.9 miles southeast of Donie. Total depth will be 15,500 feet. This well may also be drilled in the Bear Grass (Travis Peak) Field.
XTO Energy will drill the Haskell D. Gilliam Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 8, the McWatters, T.H. Well No. 29 and the C.C. Thompson Gas Unit Well No. 43 in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The No. 8 well will hit 12,000 feet in the Bullock, D Survey, A-56 five miles northeast of Donie. The No. 29 well will hit 13,700 feet in the Smyth, GW Survey, A-587 2.5 miles northwest of Donie. The No. 43 well will hit 13,600 feet in the Chavert, JL Survey, A-10 3.3 miles northwest of Donie.
Valence Operating is preparing to drill the Williford "E" Well No. 15 to depth of 13,000 feet in a lease 5.3 miles north of Fairfield. It is in the Acosta, JN Survey, A-1 in the Nan-Su-Gail (Cotton Valley Consolidated Field.
In the Lawrence, J Survey, A-364, XTO Energy is preparing to drill the Henderson Gas Unit Well No. 24. It will hit 13,000 feet in the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. Location is 4.7 miles southeast of Teague.
XTO Energy is preparing to drill the Willard Gas Unit No. 2 in the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The well will have a total depth of 13,200 feet. It will lie in the Jones, WMC Survey, A-14 three miles northeast of Fairfield.
The Kindon GA Unit No. 1 Well No. 10 will be drilled in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The well will bottom at 13,600 feet in the Castelman, J Survey, A-166. Location is 4.3 miles northeast of Donie.
In a lease five miles southeast of Teague, John Eppes Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 11 is being prepared for drilling by XTO Energy. It will hit 12,900 feet in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The well will lie in the Luna, G Survey, A-18.
The Dowdy Ranch (Cotton Valley) Field will see the Jone Simmons "A" Gas Unit Well No. 1 drilled by Anadarko Petroleum. It will bottom at 16,200 feet in the Sanchez, A Survey, A-553. Location is 2.4 miles east of Lanely.
Gregg County
In a lease 3.97 miles northeast of Kilgore, in the Danville (Travis Peak-Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field, the Griffin Ranch G.U. 8 Well No. 4 will be drilled by Geo-Vest of Texas. It will hit 13,000 feet in the Edwards, H Survey, A-473. It may also be drilled in a wildcat field,
Anadarko E&P will drill the Jones, Alford Gas Unit Well No. 22 in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will hit 12,000 feet in the Walling, J Survey, A-239. Location is 10.5 miles southeast of Longview.
Harrison County
The Narramore Well No. 13 will be drilled to 9,800 feet 1.2 miles north of Jonesville in a wildcat field by the Winchester Production. It is in the Walding, SC Survey, A-794 and may be drilled in the Waskom (Cotton Valley) Field.
NFR Energy will drill the Fogle Trust Well No. 1 in a wildcat field. Location is 11 miles southeast of Marshall in the Monday, S Survey, A-14. Total depth is 13,000 feet. It may also be drilled in the Bethany (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field, the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field or the Carthage, North (Bossier Shale) Field.
The Wells Gas Unit Well No. 1 will be drilled by NFR Energy to 13,000 feet in a wildcat field. Location is eight miles northwest of Crossroads in the Wood, ML Survey, A-782. It may also be drilled in the Hardwood (Cotton Valley) Field.
In the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field, PMO will drill an additional well to a total depth of 11,000 feet. The well is designated the Reese Well No. 1H. Location is 18.8 miles southwest of Marshall in the Hill, J Survey, A-300.
A wildcat field will see the Faron Cain Gas Unit Well No. 13 drilled by Sandridge Exploration and Production. This well is 4.6 miles southeast of Hallsville in the Pinson, JD Survey, A-544. Depth will be 10,700 feet and it may also be drilled in the Tatum, North (Cotton Valley) Field or the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field.
Sandridge Exploration and Production will drill The Mattie Dixon Gas Unit Well No. 15 to a depth of 14,000 feet in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. Location is five miles south from Hallsville in the Real, A Survey, A-594.
Houston County
In a lease 24.5 miles southwest of Crockett, Cordillera Energy Partners will drill the Eastham State Prison Farm 5 Well No. 1. It will hit 12,200 feet in a wildcat field in the Robbins, G Survey, A-74. This well may also be drilled in the Fort Trinidad, Southwest (Glen Rose-C) Field, Fort Trinidad (Glen Rose) Field or the Fort Trinidad, Southwest (Glen Rose-E) Field.
Basa Resources will drill the English Oil Unit Well No. 14 6.2 miles southwest of Kennard in the Laura La Velle, East (Carrizo) Field. This well will hit 1,800 feet in the Rowan, J Survey, A-873.
Leon County
The Jewett (Travis Peak) Field will see the Hannah-Watson GU 1 Well No. 4 drilled to 13,000 feet. Forest Oil will drill the well 1.8 miles east of Jewett in the Frisman, DM Survey, A-267.
Par Minerals Corp will drill the Gonzales Well No. 1 in a wildcat field 5.1 miles northeast of Post Office of Centerville. This well will hit 8,800 feet in the TCRR Co. Survey, A-1148.
Limestone County
Brown Oil & Gas will drill the Rogers, L.W. Well No. G 1, 2.5 miles west of Mexia in a wildcat field. The well will be drilled to 6,300 feet in the Varela, P Survey, A-30.
Nacogdoches County
Samson Lone Star will drill the Lola D GU 1 Well No. 6 to a total depth of 12,000 feet In the Douglass, W. (Travis Peak) Field. It is 11 miles northwest of Nacogdoches in the Bullock, W N Survey, A-100, and may be drilled in the Little Ears (Pettit Lime) Field, Nacogdoches, East (James Lime) Field, and the Miyagi (Pettit) Field.
Exxon Mobil Corp. will drill the Trawick Gas Unit 15 Well No. 7 in the Trawick (Travis Peak) Field in a lease 5.8 miles southeast of Cushing. It will bottom at 9,800 feet and will lie in the Sanchez, L Survey, A-50. This well may also be drilled in the Trawick (Rodessa) Field, a wildcat field, and Trawick (Pettit) Field.
Samson Lone Star will drill the North Hayter Trust Well No. 65, 10 miles northwest of Nacogdoches in the Douglass, West (Travis Peak) Field to 12,000 feet. It may also be drilled in the Little Ears (Pettit Lime) Field, the Nacogdoches, East (James Lime) Field, the Miyagi (Pettit) Field or a wildcat field.
Samson Lone Star, will drill the Cindy Sue GU 1 Well No. 6 in the Douglass, West (Travis Peak) Field to 12,000 feet in the De Los Santos Coy, M&Bros. Survey, A-21. Location is nine miles northwest of Nacogdoches. It may also be drilled in the Nacogdoches, East (James Lime) Field, a wildcat field, the Little Ears (Pettit Lime) Field.
In a lease four miles east of Nacogdoches, in a wildcat field, the Black Hawk Well No. 1 will be drilled by Sonnera Resources. It will hit 11,200 feet in the De La Cerda, N Survey, A-14 and may also be drilled in the Oakridge (Travis Peak) Field.
Navarro County
The Corsicana (Shallow) Field will see the Ramsey B Well No. 3 drilled to 1,800 feet by Kilmarnock Oil Co. Location is seven miles southeast of Corsicana in the Smith, J Survey, A-726.
XTO Energy will drill the Poe Gas Unit Well No. 1 and the Herod Gas Unit Well No. 1 in the Cheneyboro (Cotton Valley) Field. The Poe Gas Unit Well No. is 9.5 miles southwest of Kerens in the Reed, W Survey, A-673 will hit 10,700 feet. The Herod Gas Unit Well No. 1 is 10.6 miles southwest of Kerens in the Church, JJ Survey, A-194, and will hit 10,000 feet.
Panola County
The Thomas Allison Gas Unit Well No. 13A will be drilled to 9,950 feet by Hunt Petroleum in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. The well is 5.1 miles northeast of Carthage and will lie in the Hall, I Survey, A-311.
In a lease 7.3 miles northwest of Carthage, in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field, the CGU 28 Well No. 16 will be drilled by Anadarko E&P. This well will hit 12,000 feet in the Morris, J Survey, A-446.
ConocoPhillips Co. will drill the Panola 2 Unit Well No. 16, 9.3 miles southeast of Carthage in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. It will hit 10,250 feet in the Lee, J Survey, A-395.
Bowles Energy will drill the McLeroy Well No. 1 in the Belle Bower (Travis Peak) Field and will hit 7,000 feet in the Bissel, A Survey, A-89. This well is 14.9 miles southeast of DeBerry and may be drilled in the Belle Bower (Pettit, Lower) Field, the Belle Bower (Glenrose) Field, the Belle Bower (5200) Field, the Belle Bower (6150) Field, the Belle Bower (Rodessa 'Hill') Field or the Belle Bower (Paluxy Upper) Field.
Preston Exploration will drill the TXU Tatum Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 2 in the Beckville (Cotton Valley) Field to 13,000 feet. Location is 1.3 miles southeast of Tatum in the Reel, J Survey, A-564. This well may also be drilled in the Beckville, North (Travis Peak) Field, a wildcat field or the Carthage, North (Bossier Shale) Field.
The Sealey G.U. Well No. 4 will be drilled 2.6 miles southwest of Fairplay in the Beckville (Cotton Valley) Field. Goodrich Petroleum will drill the well to 13,000 feet in the Warden, J Survey, A-755. It may also be drilled in a wildcat field or the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.
The Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field will see the Fite, J.B. Gas Unit Well No. 12 drilled by Comstock Oil & Gas. This well will hit 11,500 feet in the McFadden, W Survey, A-443. Location is 2.6 miles northeast of Beckville and may also be drilled in a wildcat field.
Robertson County
The McLean A Well No. 3 will be drilled 9.4 miles northeast of Franklin in the John Amoruso (Bossier) Field. The well will be drilled to 19,500 feet by EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc. It will lie in the Pereira, P/Grande, J & M Survey, A-32.
Williams, Clayton Energy will drill the Lazarone-Sanders Unit Well No. 1 in the Giddings (Austin Chalk-3) Field. It will hit 6,900 feet in the Nixon, GA Survey, A-31. Location is 6.9 miles southeast of Hearne.
In a lease 12.7 miles northwest of Franklin in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field, the Devon Fee 7 Gas Unit Well No. 1 will be drilled by O'Benco. It will hit 12,800 feet in the Thompson, E Survey, A-347. It may also be drilled in a wildcat field.
The Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field will see the TXU Mining Gas Unit Well No. 1 drilled by XTO Energy to 15,400 feet in the Maria De La Concepcion Marquez Survey, A-25. Location is 18.8 miles northeast of Franklin.
Rusk County
In a lease seven miles south of Henderson, in a wildcat field, the Wood Trust Well No. 1 will be drilled by NFR Energy to 13,000 feet in the Piburn, J Survey, A-28 and may be drilled in the Minden (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field or the Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field.
Energen Resources will drill the Williamson Unit Well No. 15 in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field to 11,000 feet. Location is 2.7 miles northwest of Tatum in the O'Bar, T Survey, A-26.
Samson Lone Star will drill the Texana GU No. 1 Well No. 4 in the Trawick (Travis Peak) Field to 9,000 feet. Location is 5.5 miles southwest of Mount Enterprise in the Huejas, MF Survey, A-14 and may be drilled in the Trawick, North (Pettit 7650) Field or a wildcat field.
NFR Energy will drill the Skiles Well No. 1 and the Worley Gas Unit Well No. 2 in a wildcat field. The No. 1 well will hit 13,000 feet 9.5 miles south of Henderson in the Reel, D Survey, A-31. This well may be drilled in the Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field or the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field. The No. 2 well will hit 13,000 feet 4.2 miles southwest of Pinehill in the Haynes, JC Survey, A-407. It may be drilled in the Minden (Cotton Valley Lime) Field or the Minden (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field.
In a lease five miles southwest of Henderson in the Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field, the Lake Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 10 will be drilled by Forest Oil Corp. It will hit 11,500 feet in the Willshire, TL Survey, A-843.
Davis Oil & Gas will drill the Siler, W.H. Well No. 2 in a wildcat field to 12,000 feet in the Walker, M Survey, A-826 9.1 miles southwest of Henderson.
The Dollar Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 9 will be drilled four miles west of Henderson in the Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will hit 11,500 feet in the Bynum, E Survey, A-112, drilled by Forest Oil Corp.
Cypress Production will drill the Clark Well No. 3H in the Danville (Travis Peak-Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field one mile southeast of Kilgore. This well will hit 7,800 feet in the Chisum, C Survey, A-902.
Sandridge Exploration and Production will drill the Gladney Gas Unit Well No. 12 and the Gladney Gas Unit Well No. 15 in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. The No. 12 is 6.2 miles west of Tatum. The No. 15 is 6.3 miles west of Tatum. Both wells will hit at 14,000 feet in the Lee, I Survey, A-17. The No. 12 may also be drilled in a wildcat field.
Shelby County
Devon Energy will drill the Noble Unit Well No. 4 in the Stockman (Cotton Valley) Field. This well is 9.7 miles southwest of Center in the Goss, G Survey, A-248 and will hit 14,000 feet. It may also be drilled in a wildcat field.
In a lease 4.8 miles southwest of Center in a wildcat field, the Southern Egg Ranch Well No. 2 will be drilled by Buffco Production. It will hit 15,000 feet in the Estes, B Survey, A-189 and may also be drilled in the Stockman, South (Travis Peak) Field or the Stockman (Cotton Valley) Field.
Classic Operating will drill the Pickering Lumber Company C Well No. 6 in the Joaquin (Travis Peak) Field. The well will hit 10,000 feet two miles east of Joaquin in the Brooks, HL Survey, A-68. It may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

Angelina County
In a lease 1.8 miles east of Wells, Goodrich Petroleum has completed the C.W. Sneed Gas Unit 1 Well No. 2 to 12,367 feet in the Raintree Field. On a 20/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 1.792 million cubic feet of natural gas per day per day. Production is in the Hosston formation.
Freestone County
Marathon Oil completed the New Birmingham "B" Gas Unit Well No. 8H to 9,749 feet in the White Creek Field. Location is 6.2 miles west of Alto. On an adjustable choke, it potentialed 2.360 million feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Pettit formation.
In a lease 4.1 miles southeast of Fairfield in the Teague Field, Marathon Oil has completed the Utley "C" Well No. 17 to 12,637 feet. On an adjustable choke, it potentialed 1.047 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated formation.
On a 12/64-inch choke, the Middleton, Ruby Gas Unit Well No. 7 potentialed 1.379 million cubic feet of natural gas per day in the Teague Field. The well hit 12,290 feet. Location is 3.5 miles southwest of Fairfield. Operator is Hunt Petroleum. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated formation.
The Moody Estate Gas Unit 2 Well No. 6HZ has been completed to 14,680 feet in the Teague Field by Apache Corp. Location is 2.3 miles southwest of Fairfield. The well potentialed 2.906 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on a 32/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley Bossier Consolidated formation.
Gregg County
In a lease two miles west of Longview, Hunt Petroleum completed an additional well in the Willow Springs Field. The well, known as the Hayes Well No. 9, bottomed at 11,100 feet. On an adjustable choke, it potentialed 1.218 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.
Henderson County
The H.P. Barton Gas Unit Well No. 3 is located 7.8 miles southwest of Athens in the Tri-Cities Field. This well was completed to 11,565 feet by XTO Energy. On a 14/64-inch choke, it potentialed 3.588 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.
Limestone County
The W.O. Stone Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 21 has been completed by XTO Energy in the Farrar Field. It hit 14,055 feet and is 15.5 miles southeast of Groesbeck. On a 48/64-inch choke, it potentialed 707,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley Lime formation.
On a 1-inch choke, the Phillips-Cox Well No. 1 potentialed 7,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. It was completed 6.5 miles southwest of Teague in the Personville Field. Stroud Petroleum completed the well to 8,242 feet. Production is in the Rodessa formation.
Nacogdoches County
The North Hayter Trust Well No. 22, located 10 miles northwest of Nacogdoches in the Douglass, West Field, was completed by Samson Lone Star to 10,662 feet. On a 21/64-inch choke, it potentialed 3.186 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.
Samson Lone Star has completed six new wells. The Tipton Gas Unit 1 Well No. 1 is nine miles southwest of Nacogdoches in the Red Land, Northeast Field and hit 11,750 feet. The well potentialed 4.426 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 16/64-inch choke. Production is in the Pettit formation. The Panther Gas Unit 1 Well No. 1 is nine miles southwest of Nacogdoches in the Red Land, North Field. It hit 11,670 feet and potentialed 2.412 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 30/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak formation. The Dana Lynn GU 1 Well No. 1 is five miles southwest of Cushing in the Douglass, West Field. It bottoms at 10,615 feet and potentialed 508,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 24/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak formation. The Sitton GU 1 Well No. 2 is 8.5 miles northwest of Nacogdoches in the Douglass, West Field and hit 10,433 feet. On a 20/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 3.004 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Travis Peak formation. The Desha GU 1 Well No. 3 is 11 miles northwest of Nacogdoches in the Douglass, West Field and hit 10,550 feet. It potentialed 3.136 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 25/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak formation. The Black Stone Well No. 8 is nine miles northwest of Nacogdoches in the Douglass, West Field and hit 10,440 feet. It potentialed 2.864 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 26/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.
Navarro County
The Scammel Gas Unit Well No. 2 potentialed 101,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 48/64-inch choke. Location is 14.7 miles southwest of Kerens. XTO Energy completed the well to 10,875 feet. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.
Panola County
The Carthage Field has seen the Summers Well No. 1 completed by M.E. Operating & Services to 9,640 feet. It potentialed 320,000 cubic feet of gas per day on an 8/64-inch choke. Location is 12 miles southeast of Carthage. Production is in the Travis Peak- Collins formation.
The Metcalf Unit 1 Well No. 12 is 5.8 miles east of Beckville in the Carthage Field. This well was completed by Lacy Operations to 9,830 feet. On an adjustable choke, it potentialed 1.625 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.
On an adjustable choke, the W.F. Beall "A" Well No. 11 flowed with 52.71 barrels of crude per day. Location is 2.7 miles east of Beckville in the Carthage Field. Chevron U.S.A. completed the well to 9,888 feet. Production is in the Travis Peak 6400 formation.
Rusk County
On an adjustable choke, the Harmon Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 3 potentialed 657,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. Location is 5.3 miles northwest of Henderson in the Henderson, East Field. Forest Oil completed the well to 11,280 feet. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.
The Harmon Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 5 is located 5.8 miles northwest of Henderson in the Henderson, East Field. It hit 11,250 feet, drilled by Forest Oil Corp. On a 26/64-inch choke the well potentialed 768,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.
The Minden Field has seen the Siler Heirs GU Well No. 3 completed by Goodrich Petroleum. Location is 3.9 miles northeast of Henderson. Total depth is 10,798 feet. On an adjustable choke, the well potentialed 679,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Travis Peak Consolidated formation.
On a 30/64-inch choke, the Ashby Gas Unit Well No. 1 potentialed 825,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. Location is seven miles east of Henderson in the Beckville Field. It bottoms at 10,800 feet with production in the Cotton Valley formation.
In a lease 4.8 miles southeast of Henderson, in the Minden Field, the Spikes Gas Unit 1 Well No. 14 has been completed by Sand Ridge Onshore. It bottoms at 10,885 feet and potentialed 2.742 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 28/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.
