In a lease 7.5 miles northeast of Jacksonville, in the Percy Wheeler (Travis Peak) Field, the Prestiedge Well No. 2 will be drilled by Chesapeake Operating, Inc. The well will bottom at a total depth of 12,000 feet in the Thomas Quevado Survey, A-44.
XTO Energy Inc. will drill six new wells in the Doyle Creek (Travis Peak) Field to a depth of 12,800 feet. The Chronister Heirs Well No. 39 will be located 6.9 miles southeast of Alto. The Chronister Heirs Well No. 40 will be located 5.6 miles southeast of Alto. The Chronister Heirs Well No. 41 will be located 5.5 miles southeast of Alto. The Chronister Heirs Well No. 42 will be located 5.3 miles southeast of Alto. The Chronister Heirs Well No. 435.4 miles southeast of Alto. The Chronister Heirs Well No. 44 will be located 5.7 miles southeast of Alto. These wells will lie in the Durst, J Survey, A-15 and may also be drilled in the Doyle Creek (Pettit) Field.
Angelina County
The Angelina Lumber Well No. 3 will be drilled 5.04 miles southeast of Wells in the Raintree (Hosston) Field. This well will bottom at 12,300 feet in the Durst, J Survey, A-201. This well may also be drilled in the Raintree (Pettit) Field.
The Raintree (Hosston) Field will see the Crossman, Jerome Well No. 4 drilled to a depth of 12,300 feet by EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc. This well will be located 2.56 miles southeast of Wells in the Postley, W A Survey, A-511.
Freestone County
The Mann, North (Cotton Valley Sand) Field will see the Richardson, Letha M Well No. 6 drilled by Lacy Operating LTD. The well will be located 1.4 miles north of Kirvin in the Galbrath, C J Survey, A-245. The well will bottom at a depth of 9,900 feet.
XTO Energy INC. will drill the Eppes Unit Well No. 3 in the Bear Grass (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field and the Cochrum Gas Unit Well No. 17 in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The No. 3 well will bottom at a depth of 14,800 feet in the Peck, N Survey, A-820. The well will be located 1.4 miles northeast of Donie. This well may also be drilled in the Bear Grass (Pettit) or the Bear Grass (Travis Peak). The No. 17 well will bottom at a depth of 13,700 feet in the Craig, S R Survey, A-158. The well will be located 4.6 miles northwest of Donie.
The J. A. Gilliam Gas Unit Well No. 16 will be drilled 6.2 miles southwest of Teague in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The well will lie in the McCuistion, N Survey, A-434. The well will be drilled by XTO Energy Inc. to a total depth of 13,100 feet.
XTO Energy Inc. is preparing to drill three additional wells in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The wells are designated the McSwane Gas Unit Well No. 12, the McSwane Gas Unit Well No. 14 and the Cochrum Gas Unit Well No. 18. The No. 12 and the No. 14 wells will reach a depth of 13,500 feet in the Bullock, D Survey, A-56. Location of the No. 12 well will be 6.3 miles southeast of Teague and location of the No. 14 well is 6.5 miles southeast of Teague. The No. 18 well will reach a depth of 13,600 feet in the Chavert, J L Survey, A-10. Location of this well will be 4.1 miles northwest of Donie.
The Dowdy Ranch (Cotton Valley) Field will see the Cunningham "A" Well No. 5 drilled to a depth of 16,000 feet by Anadarko Petroleum Corp. This well will be located 4.1 miles southeast of Lanely in the Stagner, A L Survey, A-590.
The Nan-Su-Gail (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field will see the C.E. Neal GU B-1 Well No. 14H drilled by Devon Energy Production Company, L.P. The well will be located 5.5 miles northeast of Fairfield in the Riondo, M Survey, A-25 with a depth of 13,500 feet.
In a lease 4.4 miles southwest of Teague in the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field, the Teague Gas Unit 1 Well No. 5 will be drilled by XTO Energy Inc. The well will bottom at 12,000 feet in the Elliott, W A Survey, A-213.
Gregg County
The Judge Daniels GU 1 Well No. 15 will be drilled 2.5 miles east of Kilgore in the Danville (Travis Peak-Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. This well will bottom at 13,000 feet, drilled by Samson Lone Star, LLC in the Wells, H Survey, A-222. The well may also be drilled in a Wildcat Field.
Harrison County
In a lease 11 miles southeast of Marshall in the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field, GMX Resources Inc. is preparing to drill an additional well. This well will bottom at 11,800 feet and will be designated the Mercer Well No. 7D. The well will lie in the Smith, W Survey, A-21. This well may also be drilled in the Bethany (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field, Bethany (Pettit 6170) Field or a Wildcat Field.
Bell, Carolyn Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 16 will be drilled by Sandridge Exploration and Production, LLC in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will bottom at 12,000 feet in the Watson, W Survey, A-748 and may also be drilled in a Wildcat Field.
O'Benco, Inc. will drill the Hazel Byrne Gas Unit No. 2 Well No. 9 in the Darcos, Southeast (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will bottom at 12,000 feet 10.6 miles south of Marshall in the Duncan, M Survey, A-197. This well may also be drilled in the Carthage, North (Bossier Shale) Field, the Blocker (Page) Field, the Blocker (Travis Peak) Field or the Blocker (Rodessa) Field.
The Mercer Well No. 6 and the Bell Well No. 8H will be drilled in the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field by GMX Resources Inc. Both wells will bottom at 11,800 feet. The No. 6 will be located 12 miles southeast of Marshall in the Smith, W Survey, A-21. The No. 8H will be located seven miles southeast of Marshall in the Campbell, J B Survey, A-148. The wells may also be drilled in the Bethany (Pettit 6170) Field, the Bethany (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field or a Wildcat Field.
In a lease five miles southwest of Crossroads in a Wildcat Field, the Huffman Well No. 1 will be drilled by NFR Energy, LLC. This well will bottom at 13,000 feet in the Monday, S Survey, A-14. The well may also be drilled in the Bethany (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field, the Carthage, North (Bossier Shale) Field or the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field.
Ark-La-Tex Energy, L.L.C. will drill the Bullard Creek Well No. 1 in the Longwood (Cotton Valley) Field to a depth of 9,900 feet. This well will be located five miles northwest of Waskom in the Anderson, G Survey, A-50 and may also be drilled in the Waskom (Cotton Valley, Oil) Field, the Waskom (Cotton Valley 8100) Field, the Waskom (Cotton Valley, Upper) Field or the Waskom (Cotton Valley 8300) Field.
In a lease 6.5 miles southeast of Hallsville, in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field, the Bell, Carolynn Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 5 will be drilled by Sandridge Exploration and Production, LLC. This well will bottom at 12,000 feet in the Watson, W Survey, A-748 and may also be drilled in a Wildcat Field.
Sandridge Exploration and Production, LLC will drill the Magrill Well No. 5 in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will be located two miles northeast of Hallsville in the Holbert, J Survey, A-305 with a depth of 12,000 feet. This well may also be drilled in a Wildcat Field.
The Mercer Well No. 10 will be located 11 miles southeast of Marshall in the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field. this well will be drilled to bottom at 11,800 feet by GMX Resources Inc. in the Smith, Wm Survey, A-21. In a lease 8.5 miles east of Marshall, in the Waskom (Cotton Valley) Field, the Keeth Well No. 2 will be drilled by Samson Lone Star. LLC. This well will bottom at 13,000 feet in the Poe, A Survey, A-19 and may also be drilled in a Wildcat Field.
Henderson County
The E.M. Day Estate Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 3, the E.M. Day Estate Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 4 and the E.M. Day Estate Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 5 will be drilled in the Tri-Cities (Cotton Valley) Field by XTO Energy Inc. The No. 3 will be located 3.3 miles southeast of Malakoff. The No. 4 will be located 3.2 miles southeast of Malakoff. The No. 5 will be located 3.1 miles southeast of Malakoff. These wells will lie in the Neill, J C Survey, A-577.
Limestone County
The S.J. Harlow Gas Unit Well No. 11 and the S.J. Harlow Gas Unit Well No. 14 will be drilled in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field by XTO Energy Inc. The No. 11 will be located 13.7 miles southeast of Groesbeck. The No. 14 will be located 13.5 miles southeast of Groesbeck. Both wells will bottom at 13,300 feet in the Chavert, J L Survey, A-4.
Nacogdoches County
The Tom Reavley Well No. 4 will be drilled 13.8 miles northwest of Nacogdoches in a Wildcat Field. The well will bottom at 11,000 feet drilled by Indigo Minerals LLC. This well will lie in the Durst, J Survey, A-26 and may also be drilled in the Douglass, West (Travis Peak) Field or the Douglass, West (Pettit Middle) Field.
Panola County
XTO Energy Inc. is preparing to drill the Mayo Williams Heirs Well No. 9 to a total depth of 10,700 feet. The location of the well is 1.5 miles southwest of Beckville in the Beckville (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will lie in the Smith, M A Survey, A-657.
Anadarko E&P Co. is preparing to drill the Frost Unit 5 Well No. 8H to a depth of 12,000 feet. The well will be located 8.8 miles northeast of Carthage in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. The will lie in the McFaddin, J Survey, A-456.
The Smith, J J Gas Unit Well No. 8 will be drilled by Anadarko E&P Company LP in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will bottom at 12,000 feet in the Bradley, J M Survey, A-49. Location will be 9.7 miles southeast of Carthage.
The Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field will see the Hudson, Nell Well No. 18 and the Mangham Unit Well No. 28 drilled by Devon Energy Production Company, L.P. The No. 18 will be drilled 4.9 miles southwest of Carthage in the Hanks, I Survey, A-271. This well will bottom at 12,500 feet. The No. 28 will be drilled 4.3 miles north of Carthage in the Roberts, G B Survey, A-565. This well will bottom at 13,000 feet.
In a lease 4.5 miles northeast of Beckville in the Panola (Goodland Lime) Field, the La Grone Well No. 2 will be drilled by Texas American Resources Co. This well will bottom at 3,800 feet in the LaGrone, A Survey, A-391.
Robertson County
In a lease 5.2 miles northeast of Franklin, in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field, Encana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc. is preparing to drill an additional well. This well will be known as the Law Unit Well No. 10 and will reach a depth of 14,600 feet. The well will lie in the Goodloe, R K Survey, A-156.
Burlington Resources Oil & Gas Company LP will drill the T Bar X Reagan Gas Unit Well No. 3 and the T Bar X Carleton Gas Unit Well No. 3 in the Savell (Bossier Sand) Field. T Bar X Reagan Gas Unit Well No. 3 will be drilled 3.6 miles southeast of Franklin in the Barbee, A O Survey, A-65 and will bottom at 16,000 feet. The T Bar X Carleton Gas Unit Well No. 3 will be drilled 3.6 miles southeast of Franklin in the Eaton, S H Survey, A-10 and will bottom at 16,000 feet.
The John Blair Well No. 12 will be drilled 11.7 miles northeast of Franklin in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. This well will be drilled by Coronado Energy E & P Company, LLC to a depth of 13,500 feet in the Jones, W Survey, A-200.
Rusk County
The Spikes Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 12 and Spikes Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 17 is being prepared for drilling to a depth of 14,000 feet in a Wildcat Field. The operator in charge of drilling is Sandridge Onshore , LLC. They will drill the wells five miles southeast of Henderson in the Peck, S R Survey, A-620. These wells may also be in the Minden (Cotton Valley Lime) Field, Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field, or the Minden (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field.
The Enduring Resources LLC is preparing the Smith Trust Gas Unit Well No. 1 and Smith Trust Gas Unit Well No. 2 in the Brachfield, Southeast (Cotton Valley) Field. The wells will bottom at a depth of 11,300 feet and will be located 2.4 miles southwest of Minden. The Smith Trust Gas Unit Well No. 2 is located 1.6 miles southwest of Minden. The wells will lie in the Rutland, J S Survey, A-659.
In a lease 6.1 miles northeast of Minden in the Brachfield, Southeast (Cotton Valley) Field, Enduring Resources LLC is preparing for an additional well to be drilled. The well is to be known as the Mimms Well No. 1 with a depth of 11,300 feet. The well will lie in the Nieto, J Survey, A-602. This well may also be drilled in a Wildcat Field, or Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.
The Hinson Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 9 will be located four miles west of Henderson in the Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field to a depth of 11,500 feet. The well will lie in the Brown, R Survey, A-102 drilled by Forest Oil Corp.
The Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field will see the Siler Heirs GU Well No. 8 drilled by Goodrich Petroleum Co. to a depth of 13,000 feet. The well will be located 4.2 miles southeast of Henderson in the Burk, S P Survey, A-136. The well may also be drilled in a Wildcat Field or the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.
Cabot Oil & Gas Corp. will drill the Pinkerton Gas Unit Well No. 11H in the Brachfield, Southeast (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will be located 2.33 miles northeast of Minden in the Vansickle, B A Survey,l A-796.
The Alexander Heirs Gas Unit Well No. 2 and the Alexander Heirs Gas Unit Well No. 5H will be drilled 5.1 miles southwest of Henderson in the Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field. Forest Oil Corp. will drill the wells to a depth of 11,500 feet in the Willshire, T L Survey, A-843.
There will be two new wells drilled in the Brachfield, South (Cotton Valley) Field by Enduring Resources, LLC. The Pirtle Well No. 2 will be drilled 0.9 miles southwest of Minden in the Atkinson, J S Survey, A-60. The Jimmerson Gas Unit Well No. 13 will be drilled 5.8 miles northeast of Minden in the Bell, R Survey, A-90. Both wells will bottom at 11,700 feet and may also be drilled in a Wildcat Field or the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.
San Augustine County
A Wildcat Field will see more production as Cabot Oil & Gas Corp. prepares to drill a new well. The well is designated the Forbus-McKinney Well No. 2 and will reach a depth of 9,500 feet. Location of the well is 11.5 miles southwest of Center in the Forbus, G. E. Survey unknown. This well may also be drilled in the Angie (James Lime) Field.
Shelby County
Noble Energy Inc. is preparing to drill the Hilton B Well No. 1H to a depth of 7,011 feet in a Wildcat Field. The well will be located 7.3 miles southwest of Center in the Hilton, H Survey, A-886.
The Latimer Well No. 1 will be drilled 5.9 miles southwest of Joaquin in a Wildcat Field. The well will be drilled by Maximus Operating, Ltd. to a depth of 10,000 feet in the Smith, J Survey, A-637. This well may also be drilled in the Paxton (Travis Peak) Field, the Joaquin (Rodessa) Field or the Carthage, South (Cotton Valley) Field.
In a lease 9.5 miles southeast of Center in the Stockman (Travis Peak) Field, the Wheeler Well No. 3 will be drilled by Encore Operating, L.P. This well will bottom at 8,800 feet in the Hooper, J M Survey, A-275. The well may also be drilled in the Stockman (Pettit Lower) Field.
Encore Operating, L.P. will drill the Nobles Well No. 7 in the Stockman (Travis Peak) Field. This well will bottom at a depth of 8,900 feet in the Hooper, J M Survey, A-275. This well will be located 8.8 miles southeast of Center and may also be drilled in the Stockman (Pettit-Lower) Field.
The Huxley (6100) Field will see the Greer Well No. 1H drilled by Silver Oak Operating, Inc. This well will be located four miles southeast of Center in the Leech, W Survey, A-431 and will bottom at 7,000 feet.
Smith County
The Sallie M. Warren Hrs. Gas Unit 1 Well No. 15 will be located 1.9 miles northwest of Troup in the Overton (Cotton Valley Sand) Field. This well will be drilled to a depth of 12,250 feet by Southwestern Energy Production Co. in the Miller, W Survey, A-638. The well may also be drilled in a Wildcat Field.
In a lease 0.2 miles southeast of Sand Flat, in a Wildcat Field, the Dolores Coulter Trust Well No. 1 will be drilled by Goldston Oil Corp. This well will bottom at 9,000 feet in the Flores, F Survey, A-9.
Wood County
The Saner, M. Well No. 10R will be drilled four miles northeast of Pine Mills in the Pine Mills, East (Woodbine) Field. The well will be drilled to a depth of 5,700 feet by Bluestone Natural Resources, LLC. This well will lie in the Polk, M Survey, A-454.

The Rucker Well No. 5H is located one mile west of Troup in the Overton Field. This well was completed by Wagner & Brown, Ltd. to a depth of 14,890 feet. When gauged on a 1.75-inch choke, the well potentialed 12.784 million cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley Sand formation.
Freestone County
When gauged on a 26/64-inch choke, the Pyramid Land Well No. 12 potentialed 322,000 cubic feet of natural gas. This well was drilled eight miles northwest of Fairfield in the Loper with a depth of 12,300 feet by Apache Corp. Production is in the Bossier formation.
In a lease 4.7 miles southwest of Fairfield, Valence Operating Company completed an additional well. The well is designated the Chancellor Unit No. 1 Well No. 3 and bottomed at a total depth of 12,383 feet in the Teague Field. When gauged on a 24/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 1.121 million cubic feet of natural gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated formation.
Gregg County
The Danville Field has seen the Daniels, Judge G.U. 1 Well No. 8 completed to a depth of 10,830 feet. This well was drilled by Samson Lone Star, LLC 2.5 miles east of Kilgore. The well potentialed 1.265 million cubic feet of gas when gauged on a 20/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak-Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.
The Daniels, Judge G.U. 1 Well No. 9 has been completed by Samson Lone Star, LLC to a depth of 10,909 feet. The well is located 2.5 miles East of Kilgore in the Danville Field. This well potentialed 1.321 million cubic feet of gas when gauged on a 30/60-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak-Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.
When gauged on a 20/64-inch choke, the Lawson Lacy Well No. 2 potentialed 1.195 million cubic feet of natural gas. The well bottomed at 10,712 feet in the Willow Springs field. Operator of the well is known as the Remuda Operating Company. Location of the well is 4.5 miles southwest of Longview. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.
Harrison County
The Jones Gas Unit Well No. 13 is located five miles southwest of Hallsville in the Oak Hill Field. This well bottoms at 10,810 feet completed by EnerVest Operating, L.L.C. When gauged on a 42/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 882,000 cubic feet of natural gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.
In a lease 7.7 miles northeast of Marshall, in the Carthage, North Field, Penn Virginia Oil and Gas, LP has filed the production reports for the Penny Jones Well No. 7. This well was gauged on a 48/64-inch choke and potentialed 180,000 cubic feet of natural gas. The depth is unknown. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.
The Gail Furrh Well No. 10 has been completed by Penn Virginia Oil & Gas, LP. The depth of the well is unknown. The location of the well is 2.2 miles northwest of Elysian. The well potentialed 752,000 cubic feet of gas when gauged on a 24/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.
Henderson County
The Thomas Lake Field has seen the Parker Trust Gas Unit Well No. 1 completed by Rising Star Petroleum, LLC to a depth of 12,265 feet. The well is located eight miles north of Athens. When gauged on a 48/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 696,000 cubic feet of gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.
The McDonald Well No. 2 is located 3.2 miles northeast of Crossroads in the Tri-Cities Field by Rising Star Petroleum, LLC. This well was completed to a depth of 9,614 feet and flowed with 11.7 barrels of crude. Choke size was not recorded. Production is in the Pettit formation.
Limestone County
In a lease 3.4 miles northwest of Olethan in the Pokey Field, Samson Lone Star, LLC has completed the Masters Gas Unit Well No. 1 to a depth of 11,463 feet. This well potentialed 336,000 cubic feet of gas when gauged on a 48/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak, Upper formation.
The Bobby Reed Gas Unit Well No. 15 has been completed 13.9 miles northwest of Jewett and the Bobby Reed Gas Unit Well No. 17 has been completed 13.7 miles northwest of Jewett, both wells are completed in the Freestone Field by O'Benco, Inc. The No. 15 well bottoms at 12,955 feet and potentialed 2.193 million cubic feet of gas when gauged on a 20/64-inch choke. The No. 17 well bottoms at 13,300 feet and potentialed 1.810 million cubic feet of gas when gauged on a 20/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated formation.
In a lease 15.2 miles northwest of Jewett in the Freestone Field, O'Benco, Inc. filed the first production papers for the Rickard Gas Unit Well No. 7. The well bottoms at 11,470 feet and potentialed 2.109 million cubic feet of gas when being gauged on a 22/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley- Bossier Consolidated formation.
Nacogdoches County
The McDuffie Gas Unit Well No. 6 is located 2.1 miles northwest of Garrison in the Naconiche Creek Field. This well bottoms at 8,802 feet and potentialed 1.760 million cubic feet of gas when gauged on an 18/64-inch choke. Production is in the Rodessa-Travis Peak Consolidated formation.
When gauged on a 0.469-inch choke, the Trawick GU 10 Well No. 13 potentialed 4.810 million cubic feet of gas. This well is located 4.48 miles southeast of Cushing in the Trawick Field. Exxon Mobil Corp. has completed the well to a depth of 9,040 feet. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.
When gauged on an adjustable choke, the Christian Well No. 6H potentialed 498,000 cubic feet of natural gas. Marathon Oil Co. has completed the well to a depth of 9,370 feet in the Little Ears Field. This well is located 3.6 miles northwest of Nacogdoches. Production is in the Pettit Lime formation.
The SFAAA Well No. 1 has been competed in the Gaties Field to a depth of 11,557 feet. The operator in charge of the drilling is Goodrich Petroleum Co. The location is 8.9 miles southeast of Nacogdoches. This well potentialed 800,000 feet of natural gas, when gauged on a 25/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.
In a lease 5.39 miles east of Cushing, Trawick Gas Unit 3 Well No. 13 bottomed at a depth of 8,925 feet in the Trawick Field. The operator of the well is Exxon Mobil Corporation. When gauged on a 0.750-inch choke, the well potentialed 3.546 million cubic feet of natural gas. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.
When gauged on an 18/64-inch choke, the Jackson "E-1" Gas Unit Well No. 6 potentialed 1.340 million cubic feet of natural gas. The well bottomed at a total depth of 10,075 feet in the Appleby, North Field. Location of the well is 3.2 miles southwest of Garrison. Operator of the well is known as the EOG Resources, Inc. Productions is in the Travis Peak and Pettit formations.
Panola County
