Raves, Rants & Roses

June 15: Gracious In D.C.
RAVES: Susan G. Komen for the Cure recently held a Komen Advocacy Alliance "Lobby Day" in Washington, D.C. The Tyler affiliate was fortunate enough to be able to send two people to this event.

Board member Jeannie Welguisz and I want to send a sincere thank you and a huge rave to Congressman Louie Gohmert and his senior Legislative Assistant Drew Kent for their gracious Texas hospitality during our visit.

We especially want to thank Rep. Gohmert for taking time out of his busy day to give us an extended appointment to discuss upcoming comprehensive cancer legislation.

Both of these Tylerites also deserve several dozen roses.
