The Democrats; proposed profits tax on oil will not be borne by oil companies. As Obama and his associates know full well, corporations don't pay taxes; they pass the cost along to their customers, especially when all their competitors are forced to do the same.

In this case the voters his party takes for granted most often will pay. Wage earners who least can afford the hidden costs they will be handed will have to fork over what could be used for better things to cover what is essentially "The Prince's New Clothes."

So, to the congressional majority we say: Go ahead, tax away if you can't be stopped. You've done it before and you'll do it again. Just don't tell us it's raining because we know you're really doing something else.
