Locking In 2003 Cuts Would Be Wise Move
A surge in gasoline prices in the wake of a major housing market shakeup has many Americans talking recession and political candidates spouting ideas to breathe new life into the economy.

Politicians looking to boost the economy throw around such ideas as raising taxes, boosting unemployment pay and seeking ways to give low-income folks more money. The fact those approaches actually do more damage than good to the economy never seems to discourage such efforts.
