  • MARSHALL — East Texas Baptist University has recognized its students for outstanding academic achievement during the 2008 Spring Semester with the release of the Spring Dean’s List with Honors and Dean’s List.

    Listed below are the names of students earning recognition to the ETBU Dean’s List with Honors and Dean’s List. Students are sorted in alphabetical order, by home town and state.

  • KINGSVILLE — Texas A&M University-Kingsville has released the names of local students who made the Dean’s List for the spring 2008 semester. To make the Dean’s List, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.65 (on a 4.0 scale) on all work attempted for the semester with a minimum of 13 semester hours completed.

  • Matthew Nelson, of Tyler, made the Dean’s List for the spring semester at Georgia Tech by earning a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

  • Emily Anne Straines, and interdisciplinary studies major from Chandler, was named to the Stephen F. Austin State University President’s Honor Roll for the spring semester by earning a GPA of 4.0.

    Carrie Lynn Daniel, interdisciplinary studies; Lindsey K. Mabry, social work; Amberly Mignon Miller, social work; Sonya Marie Sukiennik, interdisciplinary studies; Cheryl Lynn Valdez, interdisciplinary studies; and Eric Vincent Wade II, general business; all of Tyler, also were named to the honor roll.
