REMEMBERING: "Hard Times!" Well, it seems we're back to the "good, ol' days" when we were appreciative for conveniences of everyday living. Not being wasteful, but conserving. I can remember how happy we were getting our bathroom put in. We were so grateful to be able to have our old crank T-model and a little gas to go to church and dinner on the grounds. We only had to buy flour, sugar, meal, the basics at the grocery store. We raised our vegetables, cows for milk and best of all divided with neighbors. In today's modern living we all have taken for granted all these things. Even with all these high prices and hard economic times, we need to be "thankful for small blessings" and go back to basics and help your neighbor.
