In response to Heidi and Beth, in my post I do not begrudge you the right to have your opinion or the right to not regret having them. What I found to be a little unsettling was how everyone seemed to think, oh my gosh, they have no feelings. I found the amount of response and passion your response generated was to me a verification of human nature and the hypocrisy of the world today.

I don’t have a lot of respect for Mr. Kennedy myself, and mostly it was because of his actions years ago. If a person will display such lack of character in private situations and where no one is looking or where they perceive no one to be looking, chances are they will do so again, if in a situation where they may suffer from the consequences of displaying good character and principles.

So, no, I don’t have much respect for him he is what he is. That’s about all you can say about any of us, isn't it?

My point is a person -- when faced with a choice that will bring him detrimental consequences if he or she chooses to do the morally right thing -- often does not know himself which way they will turn until that moment comes. If the wrong choice is made, then life goes on and we live with our choices, don’t we? It could be a long life to live. When Esau gave up his birthright for a little food, later he wept bitter tears, but it changed nothing.

Don’t be so quick to judge, and don’t be so hesitating to forgive. No one has to answer for Mr. Kennedy's actions except Mr. Kennedy.
