Drillers File For Multiple Harrison County Wells, June 1

DEVELOPMENTAL
Harrison County

  • The Mercer Well No. 3 will be drilled 12 miles southeast of Marshall in the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field by GMX Resources to 1,800 feet in the Smith, Wm. Survey, A-21. It may also be drilled in the Bethany (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field, a wildcat field or the Bethany (Pettit 6170) Field.

  • In a lease 4.4 miles northeast of Longview in a wildcat field, the Mansinger Well No. 1 will be drilled by NFR Energy. This well will be drilled to 12,000 feet in the Mason, R Survey, A-438 and may be drilled in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • There will be three new wells drilled in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field by XTO Energy Inc. The Bivins-Eastman Gas Unit Well No. 4 and the Bivins-Eastman Gas Unit Well No. 6 will be drilled 5.9 miles southwest of Hallsville. The Bivins-Eastman Gas Unit Well No. 5 will be drilled 6.4 miles southwest from Hallsville. All three wells are in the Thomas K. Pearson Survey, A-586 with a depth of 13,000 feet.

  • GMX Resources is preparing to drill the Mercer Well No. 4 in the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will hit 11,800 feet in the Smith, W Survey, A-21 12 miles southeast of Marshall.

  • The Gladys Davis Unit Well No. 9H will be drilled seven miles north of Marshall in the Smith, RW Survey, A-626 and will hit 11,500 feet. This well will be drilled in the Hallsville, Northeast (Cotton Valley) Field by Forest Oil Corp.

  • A wildcat field will see the North Jonesville "B" Well No. 15 drilled to 9,900 feet by Winchester Production. It is two miles northwest of Jonesville in the Pridgin, WW Survey, A-563. It may also be drilled in the Waskom (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • Penn Virginia Oil & Gas will drill three wells in a wildcat field. The Agnor Well No. 3, Well No. 4 and Well No. 5 will be drilled to a depth of 13,000 feet in the Thomas, PW Survey, A-714. These wells are 4.4 miles southeast of Jefferson and may also be drilled in the Woodlawn (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • The Martin Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 2 and the Martin Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 3 will be drilled in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field by NFR Energy. The No. 2 well will be drilled six miles southeast of Longview and will hit 12,000 feet. The well is in the Ferguson, A Survey, A-245 and may also be drilled in a wildcat field. The No. 3 well will be drilled five miles southeast of Longview and will hit 12,000 feet in the Ferguson, A Survey, A-245.

  • In a lease 3.5 miles northwest of Elysian Field in the Waskom (Cotton Valley) Field, the Woodley GU 2 Well No. 1 will be drilled by Samson Lone Star. This well will hit 13,000 feet in the Smith, W Survey, A-21. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • Forest Oil Corp. will drill the T.J. Taylor Well No. 14 in the Carthage, South (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will hit 11,500 feet nine miles southeast of Jefferson in the Ingram, W Survey, A-355.

  • The Miller Well No. 1 and the Miller Well No. 2 will be drilled in the Panola Field by Evergreen Operating. The wells will hit 2,550 feet 20.5 miles southeast of Marshall in the Harrison, J H Survey, A-329.

  • Angelina County

    The Winbo Well No. 1 will be drilled 6.7 miles east of Lufkin in a wildcat field. This well will be drilled by White Rock Exploration to 11,500 feet in the Dunagan, S Survey, A-199. It may also be drilled in the Rocky Springs (U.G.R.) Field or the Odell Creek (James) Field.

    Cherokee County

  • The Northcutt GU 1 Well No. 4 will be drilled by Wagner & Brown in the Overton (Cotton Valley Sand) Field. This well is one mile south of Troup in the Gee, E Survey, A-20. This well will hit 14,800 feet.

  • In a lease 14.7 miles southwest of Rusk in a wildcat field, the Whiteman-Decker GU No. 1 Well No. 5 will be drilled by Cordillera Texas. This well will hit 12,000 feet in the McGregor, J Survey, A-34. It may also be drilled in the Southern Pine (Travis Peak) Field.

  • Freestone County

    The Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field will see three wells drilled by XTO Energy. The John Henderson Gas Unit Well No. 10 is in a lease 4.1 miles northeast of Teague. This well will hit 13,000 feet in the Ivins, J Survey, A-316. The Winfree Gas Unit Well No. 21 is in a lease 4.6 miles southeast of Teague. This well will hit 13,100 feet in the Dickson, A Survey, A-683. The Winfree Gas Unit Well No. 22 is in a lease 4.7 miles southeast of Teague. This well will hit 12,800 feet in the Moffitt, J P Survey, A-421.

    Gregg County

  • The Gladewater Gas Unit 17 Well No. 21 will be drilled within city limits of Gladewater in the Glenwood (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will hit 11,300 feet drilled by EXCO Partners Operating Partnership. This well is in the Crossby, JR Survey, A-50.

  • Cameron Exploration will drill the Fisher Farms Well No. 2 in a wildcat field to 11,000 feet. This well is 3.6 miles southwest of Longview in the Lagrone, J Survey, A-124 and may also be drilled in the Willow Springs (Travis Peak) Field or the Willow Springs (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • Houston County

    The Fort Trinidad (Buda) Field will see the Madeley Trust Unit Well No. 2H drilled by Republic Energy to 10,000 feet. This well will is 8.5 miles west of Lovelady in the Morriss, B Survey, A-710.

    Leon County

  • The Gresham Well No. 1B will be drilled 3.6 miles southwest of Centerville in a wildcat field. Chesapeake Operating will drill the well to 22,000 feet in the Rogers, R Survey, A-717.

  • Chesapeake Operating will drill the Bryan Smith Well No. 1 in the Eunice (Travis Peak) Field to 14,000 feet. The well is 14.4 miles northeast of Centerville in the Marshall, SB Survey, A-13. It may also be drilled in the Alabama Ferry (Glenrose "D") Field or a wildcat field.

  • Limestone County

  • In a lease 14.4 miles northwest of Jewett in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field, the Doss Gas Unit Well No. 25 will be drilled by O'Benco. This well will be drilled to 13,700 feet in the Chavert, JL Survey, A-4 and may also be drilled in the Navasota (Pettit) Field, a wildcat field or the Freestone (Travis Peak) Field.

  • CH4 Energy will drill the Battle Well No. 1 in the Farrar (Cotton Valley Lime) Field. This well is 13.3 miles southeast of Groesbeck in the Rejon, MC Survey, A-26 to a depth of 14,000 feet. It may also be drilled in the Farrar, Southeast (Pettit) Field or the Farrar (Travis Peak) Field.

  • The Bobby Reed Gas Unit Well No. 26 will be drilled 13.9 miles northwest of Jewett in the Chavert, JL Survey, A-4. It will be drilled by O'Benco in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field and will hit 13,700 feet. It may also be drilled in the Navasota (Pettit) Field, the Freestone (Travis Peak) Field or a wildcat field.

  • Nacogdoches County

  • Exxon Mobil will drill the Trawick Gas Unit 21 Well No. 9 in the Trawick (Travis Peak) Field. This well will hit 9,800 feet 5.1 miles northeast of Cushing in the Acosta, JI Survey, A-64. It may also be drilled in the Trawick (James) Field or a wildcat field.

  • In a lease 14.5 miles southeast of Nacogdoches in a wildcat field, the Sutton, Kenneth Well No. 1 will be drilled by Goodrich Petroleum to 13,500 feet in the De Torres, P Survey, A-55. This well may also be drilled in the Gates (Travis Peak) Field.

  • The Soaring Wind Well No. 1 will be drilled seven miles east of Nacogdoches in a wildcat field. The well will hit 11,200 feet drilled by Sonerra Resources. This well will lie in the Mora, J Survey, A-827 and may also be drilled in the Oakridge (Travis Peak) Field.

  • Panola County

  • The Orange Gas Unit Well No. 1 will be drilled 0.9 miles southeast of Tatum in the Beckville (Cotton Valley) Field to a depth of 13,000 feet by Preston Exploration in the Reel, J survey, A-564. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field, the Beckville, North (Travis Peak) Field or the Beckville, North (Pettit) Field.

  • ConocoPhillips Co. is preparing to drill the Maude 2 Unit Well No. 14 in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. The well is 9.7 miles southeast from Carthage in the Lee, J Survey, A-395 and will hit 10,200 feet.

  • In a lease 4.4 miles southwest of Carthage, in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field, the CGU 9 Well No. 15 will be drilled by Anadarko E&P to 12,000 feet in the Smith, M Survey, A-607.

  • A wildcat field will see the Johnson Et Al Well No. 2 drilled by Sunland Production. Location is 14.9 miles northeast of Carthage in the Johnson, A Survey, A-360. It may also be drilled in the Carthage (Glen Rose) Field or the Carthage (Travis Peak) Field.

  • The Allison-Cassity Gas Unit Well No. 2 will be drilled 0.9 miles northwest of Long Branch in the Brachfield, Southeast (Cotton Valley) Field. Enduring Resources will drill the well to 11,300 feet in the Reed, GB Survey, A-577. It may also be drilled in the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field or a wildcat field.

  • St. Mary Land & Exploration will drill the F.S. Hickey Et Al Well No. 11H in a wildcat field. This well will bottom at 11,000 feet in the Pearce, S Survey, A-525 and will be located 6.6 miles southeast of DeBerry. This well may also be drilled in the Centennial, East (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • There will be three new wells drilled in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field by Devon Energy Production. The Mauritzen, J.C. Well No. 10 and the Mauritzen, J.C. Well No. 11H are 8.4 miles southwest of Carthage in the Thompson, NB Survey, A-690. The Wedgeworth Well No. 7H is 7.4 miles southwest of Carthage in the Runnels, H Survey, A-567.

  • Anadarko E&P will drill the Neal, John S Unit Well No. 9 in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will hit 11,000 feet in the Lindsey, I Survey, A-389.

  • The Britton GU Well No. 12R will be drilled 6.2 miles west of Clayton in the Brachfield, Southeast (Cotton Valley) Field. Goodrich Petroleum will drill the well to a depth of 13,000 feet in the Taylor, W Survey, A-667 and may be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • Robertson County

  • The Sybil Marshall Unit Well No. 4 will be drilled 4.7 miles northeast of Franklin in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. This well will hit 13,200 feet in the Gray, WF Survey, A-1157 by EnCana Oil & Gas.

  • O'Benco, Inc. will drill the TXU 4 Well No. 1 in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. It will be drilled 14.7 miles northwest of Franklin in the Burt, BF Survey, A-77 and will hit 12,800 feet. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • Rusk County

  • In a lease 1.7 miles southwest of Tatum in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field, the Young, Minnie Bell Well No. 2 will be drilled by Preston Exploration. This well will be drilled to 11,000 feet in the Hazel, S Survey, A-366. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field or the Oak Hill (Travis Peak) Field.

  • Goodrich Petroleum will drill the Bess Rayford GU Well No. 5 to a depth of 13,000 feet in the Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field. This well is 3.3 miles southeast of Henderson in the Smith, EA Survey, A-741. It may also be drilled in a wildcat field or the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.

  • The Birdwell Gas Unit Well No. 1 will be drilled 2.8 miles northwest of Minden in the Brachfield, Southeast (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will be drilled by Enduring Resources in the Reel, H Survey, A-32 to 11,300 feet and may be drilled in the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field or a wildcat field.

  • The Alford, E.B. Well No. 2R will be drilled one mile north of Longview in the East Texas Field. This well will hit 4,000 feet drilled by East Texas Oilfield Service in the Moore, TJ Survey, A-554.

  • Shelby County

    In a lease 13.2 miles southwest of Center in the Stockman (Cotton Valley) Field, the Polley Well No. 2 will be drilled by Devon Energy. This well will hit 15,000 feet in the Corder, RS Survey, A-144 and may be drilled in the Stockman (Travis Peak) Field or a wildcat field.

    Upshur County

    The Gregory Well No. 4 is 8.8 miles southeast of Gilmer in a wildcat field. This well will be drilled to 11,000 feet by Stroud Petroleum in the Dunn, JM Survey, A-121. It may also be drilled in the Stamps (Travis Peak) Field or the Stamps (Cotton Valley) Field.

    Wood County

    The Hill Brothers Well No. 1 will be drilled 5.2 miles northwest of Hawkins in the Crow (Bacon Lime) Field. Cameron Exploration will drill the well to 9,700 feet in the Rusk, TJ Survey, A-511. It may also be drilled in the Crow (Rodessa, Upper) Field, a wildcat field or the Crow (Rodessa) Field.


    COMPLETIONS
    Freestone County

  • The HL&P Gas Unit Well No. 15 is 2.4 miles southeast of Donie in the Farrar Field. The well was completed by Hunt Petroleum to a depth of 14,250 feet. On a 20/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 4.977 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley Lime formation.

  • XTO Energy has completed six wells. The Sartor "A" Gas Unit Well No. 3 is 5.3 miles southwest of Teague in the Freestone Field with a depth of 12,580 feet. This well potentialed 1.132 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 16/64-inch choke. The Hugh D. Reed No. 1 Gas Unit Well No. 8 is 3.4 miles northwest of Fairfield in the Teague Field with a depth of 12,468 feet. On an 18/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 1.097 million cubic feet of gas per day. The Cagle Gas Unit Well No. 19 is six miles north of Donie in the Freestone Field with a depth of 13,250 feet. On a 16/64-inch choke it potentialed 3.221 million cubic feet of gas per day. The Henderson Gas Unit Well No. 16 is five miles east of Teague in the Teague Field with a depth of 12,865 feet. Gauged on an 18/64-inch choke it potentialed 1.629 million cubic feet of gas per day. The Henderson-Lott No. 1 Gas Unit Well No. 7 is 4.7 miles southwest of Fairfield in the Teague Field with a depth of 12,727 feet. This well potentialed 1.048 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 16/64-inch choke. The Ham Gas Unit Well No. 29 is 4.1 miles southeast of Teague in the Teague Field with a depth of 12,558 feet. On a 26/64-inch choke it potentialed 4.026 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production for all six wells is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated formation.

  • Harrison County

  • The Oney, Henry Well No. 9 is 3.4 miles northwest of Harleton in the Whelan Field. The well was drilled by XTO Energy to 11,298 feet. On a 24/64-inch choke it potentialed 617,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Penn Virginia Oil & Gas has completed the Brown Well No. 2 in the Hardwood Field to a depth of 10,028 feet. The well potentialed 1.082 million cubic feet of gas on an 18/64-inch choke. Location is 10.9 miles southeast of Marshall. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Oak Hill Field has seen the Jennifer Stewart Gas Unit Well No. 17 drilled by EnerVest. This well hit 10,800 feet and is five miles southwest of Hallsville. Gauged on a 32/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 1.191 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Gauged on a 24/64-inch choke, the Hazel Byrne Gas Unit No. 2 Well No. 6 potentialed 1.013 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. This well was completed 9.7 miles southeast of Marshall in the Darco, Southeast Field. O'Benco, Inc. completed the well to a depth of 10,300 feet. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Houston County

    The Huffman, L.W. Well No. 7 is six miles east of Weldon in the Trinity Field. It was completed to a depth of 3,000 feet by Questar Exploration and Production. Gauged on a 1-inch choke, the well potentialed 15 barrels of crude per day.

    Limestone County

  • On a 48/64-inch choke, the Spence "A" Well No.1 potentialed 318,000 cubic feet of gas per day. This well is 13.4 miles south of Groesbeck in the Oletha, Southwest Field. XTO Energy completed the well to a depth of 11,056 feet with production in the Cotton Valley Sand formation.

  • O'Benco has completed four new wells in the Freestone Field. The Rickard Gas Unit Well No. 12 is 14.3 miles northwest of Jewett with a depth of 13,203 feet. Gauged on a 24/64-inch choke it potentialed 2.779 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. The Doss Gas Unit Well No. 19 is 14.2 miles northwest of Jewett with a depth of 13,550 feet. Gauged on a 16/64-inch choke it potentialed 1.699 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. The Doss Gas Unit Well No. 18 is 13.3 miles northwest of Jewett with a depth of 13,200 feet. This well potentialed 2.526 million cubic feet of gas per day on an 18/64-inch choke. The Bobby Reed Gas Unit Well No. 18 is 13.8 miles northwest of Jewett with a depth of 13,200 feet. Gauged on an 18/64-inch choke it potentialed 1.907 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated formation.

  • Nacogdoches County

  • The Stanaland Well No. 2 has been completed 5.4 miles north of Appleby in the Naconiche Creek. Deep Rock Resources completed the well to a depth of 8,990 feet. On a 10/64-inch choke, the well flowed with 12 barrels of crude per day. Production is in the Rodessa-Travis Peak Consolidated formation.

  • EOG Resources has completed the Adams "A-1" Gas Unit Well No. 8 and the Lee "E-1" Gas Unit Well No. 3 in the Appleby, North Field. The No. 8 is 2.9 miles northwest of Garrison with a depth of 9,963 feet. When gauged on an adjustable choke, the well potentialed 1.203 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. The No. 3 is 2.8 miles southwest of Garrison with a depth of 10,060 feet. On a 19/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 3.344 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production for each well is in both the Travis Peak formation and the Pettit.

  • On a 0.2810-inch choke, the Trawick GU 2 Well No. 3 potentialed 564,000 cubic feet of gas per day. This well was completed 1.2 miles north of Trawick in the Trawick Field. Exxon Mobil Corp. has completed the well to a depth of 12,200 feet. Production is in the Pettit formation.

  • The Jenny Beth GU 1 Well No. 5 is 10.5 miles northwest of Nacogdoches in the Douglass, West Field. This well was completed to a depth of 10,311 feet by Samson Lone Star. On a 19.5/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 3.234 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • Panola County

  • The L.H. Pirkle Well No. 18 is 3.1 miles southwest of Carthage in the Carthage Field. This well was completed to a depth of 9,520 feet by XTO Energy. This well was gauged on a 24/64-inch choke and potentialed 1.211 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Chevron U.S.A. Inc. has completed the Werner-Pope Well No. 2 in the Carthage Field. This well hit 9,895 feet and is three miles southeast of Deadwood. On an adjustable choke, the well potentialed 387,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • The Orr-Burks GU Well No. 5 has been completed by Goodrich Petroleum Co. No location was recorded. Total depth is 10,510 feet in the Brachfield, Southeast Field. This well potentialed 461,000 cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • On a 14/64-inch choke, the Metcalf Well No. 2 potentialed 860,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. This well is 4.3 miles northeast of Beckville. Buffco Production completed the well to a depth of 10,300 feet in the Carthage Field. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • In a lease 5.4 miles southwest from Carthage, in the Carthage Field, the Fender, H. R. Well No. 21 has been completed by Devon Energy Production. This well hit 9,600 feet and potentialed 871,000 cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Rusk County

  • The Hutchings, J. Unit Well No. 15 was completed by Energen Resources in the Oak Hill Field. This well is four miles northwest of Tatum with a depth of 10,756 feet. On a 17/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 1.911 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • On an adjustable choke, the Reeves Gas Unit Well No. 3 potentialed 914,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. This well is 4.3 miles west northwest of Garrison in the Appleby, North Field. EOG Resources has completed the well to a depth of 9,750 feet. Production is in the Travis Peak and Pettit formations.

  • Sand Ridge Onshore has completed the Nana Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 11 and the Spike Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 15 in the Minden Field. The No. 11 is 5.4 miles east of Henderson with a depth of 10,810 feet. This well was gauged on a 27/64-inch choke and potentialed 3.044 million cubic feet of gas per day. The No. 15 is 4.7 miles southeast of Henderson with a depth of 10,895 feet. On a 31/64-inch choke it potentialed 2.851 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • The Wilder Gas Unit Well No. 5 is 2.7 miles northwest of Minden in the Brachfield, Southeast Field. Enduring Resources has completed the well to a depth of 10,810 feet. On an adjustable choke, the well potentialed 1.817 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • San Augustine County

    When gauged on an open choke, the Martin Well No. 1H flowed with 55 barrels of crude per day. St. Mary Land & Exploration completed the well to a depth of 13,861 feet in the Huxley Field. This well is four miles northwest of San Augustine. Production is in the 6100 formation.

    Shelby County

  • The Alice W. Johnson Well No. 2 and the Hardin Simmons Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 6 have been completed by KCS Resources. The No. 2 is within city limits of Joaquin in the Carthage Field. This well hit 9,860 feet and potentialed 2.566 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on a 22/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation. The No. 6 is 2.5 miles southwest of Joaquin in the Joaquin Field. This well hit 9,947 feet and potentialed 1.109 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 24/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • On a 20/64-inch choke, the Allen Well No. 8FV flowed with eight barrels of crude per day. Ellora Operating has completed the well to a depth of 2,594 feet in the Huxley Field. Location is 0.8 miles northeast of Huxley with production in the Fredericksburg formation.

  • Ellora Operating completed the Corbett Well No. 4FH in the Huxley Field. This well is 18 miles east of Center with a depth of 5,470 feet. On a 20/64-inch choke, the well flowed with three barrels of crude per day. Production is in the Fredericksburg formation.

  • The Nobles Well No. 1C has been completed 10 miles west of Center in the Stockman, South Field has been completed to 8,540 feet by Encore Operating. On a 48/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 408,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Pettit formation.

  • Tyler County

    The Luca A-24 Unit Well No. 2 is located two miles northwest of Donie in the Brookeland Field. This well bottoms at 19,356 feet drilled by Anadarko E&P Co. This well potentialed 12.880 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 32/64-inch choke. Production is in the Austin Chalk, 8800 formation.
