May 20: Fit The Crime
If I were head of a state I'd have jails built to fit the crime. That is, I would house "chemical dependency" criminals in one jail, or prison. I'd have another jail for child molesters, etc.
You're going to say, "This would cost too much money." How much money is spent on repeat persons? There is not a program in any jail/prison where criminals are going through anti-drug programs and yet those on probation or parole must go through these programs after the fact. Why is this?
As far as quality goes, I'm sure there are enough jails now to do this.
Like I said, if I were an absolute authority, I'd place violators in this manner.
