PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Dana L. Johnson of Pillsbury GMAC Real Estate attended the Worldwide ERC’s National Relocation Conference, May 7-9 in San Antonio.

More than 1,400 people attended the conference, an annual meeting that offers U.S. domestic and international assignment educational sessions and professional development, peer-to-peer benchmarking, industry experts, noted keynote speakers and a comprehensive exhibit program.

Ms. Johnson is one of three real estate professionals in Tyler to hold the Certified Relocation Professional designation, according to information from Pillsbury GMAC.

East Texas Medical Center First Physician


Dr. Kathleen Butler received certifications in Medical Quality from the American Board of Medical Quality and as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality from the Healthcare Quality Certification Board, ETMC announced.

Dr. Butler is also board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She has been in practice for 10 years.

The Texas Center for the Judiciary announced Laurie Ann Frank of Tyler participated in the Beyond the Bench Conference, April 13-15 in Dallas.

The conference brings together judges, court officials, child advocates, social service providers and others in Northeast Texas to discuss the views and processes of agencies, organizations, professions and officials that collectively respond to the needs of Texas children and families across the full spectrum of operations. Its goal is to find opportunities to strengthen services to youth and families.

Scott McCown retired 345th District Court judge and executive director of the Center for Public Policy Priorities moderated the interactive program.


NEW ASSIGNMENTS


GILMER — Robroy Industries announced the addition of Erica Fisher as executive assistant.

The company said Ms. Fisher brings a solid background in business where she has gained diverse experience in managing relationships with customers and staff, and she will help contribute to the company’s focus on customer service. Robroy was recently recognized for the second consecutive year through a JD Power & Associates certification award for “outstanding customer experience.”

NACOGDOCHES — The Texas Forest Trail Region board announced it named Mary Rose Turner regional coordinator.

The heritage region is part of the Texas Historical Commission’s Texas Heritage Trails Program, an award-winning regional tourism initiative that helps Texas communities promote tourism, revitalize local economies and foster community leadership through historic preservation.

Ms. Turner will assist in heritage tourism development and promotion of the region’s 35 counties, which include Anderson, Camp, Cherokee, Gregg, Henderson, Nacogdoches, Rusk, Smith, Titus, Upshur and Wood.

Central Title Co. announced it will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. at its new Tyler location, 6783 Old Jacksonville Highway. An open house will follow until 2 p.m. Snacks will be served.

The Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce will have Business After Hours, a social and networking event for business people, 5-7 p.m. at Garden Valley Golf Club, 22049 Farm-to-Market Road 1995. Snacks and refreshments will be served.
