Police Asking For Information On Man Hit, Killed By Truck
Tyler police are asking for the public's help to identify a man who was struck and killed Wednesday by an 18-wheeler on the Beckham Street overpass.
"The victim did not have any identification on him and police are not able to identify him at this time," Tyler Police Department Public Information Officer Don Martin said in a media release.
Police said the 18-wheeler was traveling southbound on the overpass a little after 7 p.m., when the man reportedly walked directly in front of the truck.
He died at the scene, according to police and witnesses.
The victim was described as a Hispanic male with a moustache, approximately 5-5 weighing around 150 pounds.
He was wearing a blue and dark blue wide horizontal stripe long-sleeve shirt with navy pants and had on brown cowboy boots and a black Concho belt with silver conchs on it.
Martin said that if anyone is missing a loved one or recognizes that description, they should contact the Tyler Police Department.
