Longview Man Dies Following Thursday Night Shooting
LONGVIEW — A man shot Thursday night in Longview has died and police Friday afternoon were looking for the shooter.
Police identified the victim as 37-year old Jimmy Johnson of Longview. He was shot at a residence in the Spring Hill Mobile Home Park, 4000 Burks Road, and taken to Longview Regional Medical Center, police said.
Detectives Friday had obtained a warrant for the arrest of the alleged shooter, Jay Jeffry Borreson, on a charge of murder, said Sgt. Shaun Pendleton, of the Longview PD.
Police said the shooting occurred about 5:40 p.m. inside a trailer at Lot No. 12, where Johnson was found.
