It’ll be a rompin’ and wranglin’ good time as the Lindale Rodeo gallops into town Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at the Lindale Rodeo Arena on Highway 16, three miles west of downtown Lindale.
Up-and-coming country crooner Casey Rivers will perform at 7 p.m. on Thursday to kick off three nights of bull-riding, barrel-racing, calf-roping fun. Professional trick riders and singers out of Weatherford, the Cowgirl Chicks will add acrobatics and patriotic singing each evening.
Traditional rodeo events will be boosted by “Old Style Ranch Rodeo” bronco riding, and any amateur or professional rider can enter this fun and wild mustang event. More than 700 contestants from six states will compete for more than $60,000 in prize money during the rodeo.
Each night at 8 p.m., rodeo personnel, clowns, Queen contestants and the Cowgirl Chicks will be ready to sign autographs and greet visitors. The Lindale Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the rodeo in its 21st year.
Adult tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the gate Thursday, and $6 in advance and $8 at the gate Friday and Saturday. Children’s tickets are free in advance and $7 at the gate Thursday night, and $5 at the gate Friday and Saturday. For more information, call the Lindale Chamber of Commerce at 903-882-7181.
