Havens Sentenced To 17.5 Years For Child Porn Distribution
A Tyler federal judge has sentenced a Mabank man to 17.5 years in prison for distributing child pornography, the Attorney General’s Office said today.
Harrison Havens, 56, was convicted for child pornography possession and transportation.
The sentence by Judge Leonard Davis holds Havens accountable for storing and distributing images of child sexual abuse, Attorney General Greg Abbott said in a prepared statement.
The case was prosecuted by Attorney General Cyber Crimes Unit and U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Eastern District of Texas.
Investigators searched Havens’ residence after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Computers in Havens’ home held hundreds of images and videos of child pornography, authorities said.
