May 13: No Form Letter!
ROSES: I mailed a newspaper article from a county in Ohio that stated they replaced their school property tax with a one-half-cent sales tax, and they now have a surplus. I mailed this clipping to Rep. Leo Berman, and he replied in a handwritten note, thanking me for it. How unusual. Nowadays, you don't even get a form letter reply from your elected officials.
