May 13: Wonderful Support
ROSES: I would like to express my appreciation to the residents and cheerleaders along the route walked by many in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure participants, for their encouragement, and most especially, for well-appreciated musical support.
Men and women of all ages and health levels participated and the added boost from the songs and cheers lifted everyone's legs a little higher, as well as their spirits.
Rants to whoever decided that no water or other treats were allowed along the way. It was hot after a mile or two and water would have been a welcome relief. Shame on the organizers of this.
