Bill Hartley of Tyler, chairman and CEO of Southside Bancshares, parent company of Southside Bank, is set on Tuesday to preside over the NASDAQ closing bell ceremony in New York City, the company announced.

The event will take place at 4 p.m. (3 p.m. Central Time).

“We are honored to be ringing the closing bell at NASDAQ,” Hartley said. “Our 10-year association with NASDAQ has been extremely positive, providing Southside Bancshares, Inc. increased exposure that has been an integral part of our growth.”

Southside Bancshares, Inc. is a bank holding company with approximately $2.2 billion in assets that owns Southside Bank and Fort Worth National Bank.
