May 11: Face The Flag
RESPONSE: Recently, I read that presidential candidate Barack Obama said the accusation that he didn't salute the flag in Iowa last year was unfair because "he had to stand with his back to the flag for a moment in order to face the person who was singing the national anthem."
Is this guy for real?
American children learn at an early age that one should face the flag when the Star Spangled Banner is being played, not the direction from which the music is coming.
