Sharon Howell, president and owner of Travel Masters of Tyler, was recently named as one of the top producers of the travel consortium Virtuoso and received an exclusive weeklong tour of India, the company announced.
Virtuoso officials said Travel Masters was chosen for its top growth in Virtuoso production on a year-to-year basis.
The India trip included a private guided tour of the Taj Mahal, a tour of the Umaid Bhawan Palace and a stay in the luxury Oberol Udaivalas on the lakefront in the city of Udaipur.
"India is an incredible destination that mixes the old and the new in ways that are unlike any other country,'' Ms. Howell said. "The shopping and cultural sites are exotic and the people are very welcoming.
"I am thrilled that my production with Virtuoso enabled me to experience this amazing country.''
Virtuoso is a network of more than 6,000 elite travel advisors associated with more than 300 agencies in 22 countries in North and South America.
Ms. Howell said she is eager to share her experience and knowledge of this destination with her clients.
"It is difficult to describe this country of contrasts without experiencing it firsthand. Now that I have had an in-depth look at some of the key areas, I am very excited to share it with others,'' she said.
