PRICE - Dillon Heim belted a walk-off solo home run in the bottom of the seventh to give Carlisle a thrilling win over Sulphur Springs North Hopkins.
The Indians (17-3) took a 1-0 lead in the Class A area playoff series. Game 2 is 1:30 p.m. today in North Hopkins. Game 3 is 30 minutes following if necessary.
Carlisle pitcher Cannon Coleman took a no-hitter into the top of the seventh. He retired the first two batters before putting a man on base with a hit by pitch.
The next batter, Lorenzo Rivera, hit a home run to tie the game at 2-2. The homer was North Hopkins' lone hit of the game.
Heim also doubled in the game, and Coleman and Jeff Williams posted Carlisle's two other hits, both singles.
Coleman struck out 15 and walked one to earn his eighth win of the season.
