Area Golfers Miss Out At U.S. Open Qualifier
DALLAS — No area golfers advanced in the U.S. Open Qualifying on Wednesday at the Golf Club of Dallas.

Palestine’s Jeremy Frye and Lindale’s Brad Weesner shot 73 to finish three strokes off the qualifier pace.

Flint’s Chris Edmonson (76), Tyler’s Chanon Motheral (77). Holly Lake’s Ian Finch (78) and Longview’s Jay Dyer (80) also participated.

Dallas’ David Shultz led with a 66.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo finished at 75.
