Round 1 Of Class 3A State Golf Championship
AUSTIN — The Atlanta Rabbits are in position to win a Class 3A boys’ state golf championship. Atlanta used three 74s from Blake White, Matt Miller and Casey Cook to give them an overall 297 total.

It was good enough for second place, one stroke behind Castroville Medina Valley. Spring Hill is fifth with 301, just five shots back.

Individually, Spring Hill’s Jason Fiscus is tied for third after carding a 1-over 72 Thursday at the par-71 Roy Kizer Golf Course.

The second and final round is slated for today at Roy Kizer.

In girls’ Class 3A, Mabank sits in the eighth spot in the team standings, 69 strokes behind Day 1 leader Andrews (305).
