May 9: Vision For Tyler
I refer to a letter with a comment of "inappropriate" for the five city councilmen for their endorsement of Laura Corbett for mayor. I extend kudos and sincere thanks to the councilmen for their endorsement.

The five city councilmen and everyone else supporting Laura Corbett is doing so because they believe in her philosophy and work ethic, her leadership and experience and her vision for Tyler.

The letter's statement saying the mayor (Corbett, if elected) would be beholden to the five city council members is inappropriate. The contest has been respectable by all candidates, let's keep it that way!

We have two very fine female candidates vying for the position of mayor. We are truly fortunate in that respect!

I made a decision 18 months ago to support Laura Corbett, and am proud of that decision. At the end of the day, I ask and urge your vote for Laura Corbett come Saturday, May 10.
