One candidate for mayor of Tyler stands out among those running. She has a proven record of serving all of us professionally, reliably and with positive response to our concerns. Laura Corbett's experience as a council member and mayor pro tem makes her the best prepared and best qualified for filling the position.
Her service on the half-cent sales tax board is one more asset beyond her volunteer participation with Heart of Tyler/Main Street and Historic Tyler. She believes in a sound, business approach to government and in making Tyler's downtown the vital hub the 21 Committee endorsed.
