Arrick Named New UT Tyler Patriot Talon Editor
Allen Arrick of Colleyville has been named the next Patriot Talon editor in chief at The University of Texas at Tyler, Vanessa Curry, Patriot Talon adviser, announced.
Arrick, a senior journalism major, succeeds Anthony Croff of Mineola, who is graduating this May.
An award-winning journalist, Arrick earned 11 honors from the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association. He also was named a 2008 TIPA Frank Buckley Scholarship winner. Plans are to change the biweekly newspaper to a weekly publication beginning the fall 2008 semester, according to Arrick.
