Fiscus To Showcase Talent At Eagle’s Bluff In Tyler Rose Junior Invitational

JASON FISCUS is one of 100 playing at Eagle’s Bluff.
Jason Fiscus of Longview is competing this week in the UIL Class 3A State Golf Tournament in Austin. The Spring Hill High School junior and his Panther teammates will shoot for a state title Thursday and Friday at Roy Kiser Golf Course.
After the state event, Fiscus will be one of 100 golfers competing in the Tyler Rose Junior Invitational Golf Tournament May 17-18 at Eagle’s Bluff Country Club in Bullard.
The Tyler Rose Junior Invitational is sponsored by SporTYLER, the Tyler Morning Telegraph and HealthFirst.
The tourney is a stop on the Texas Junior Golf Tour.
Since beginning in 1989, the TJGT has expanded to 40 events and not only includes golfers from the Southwest, but internationally as well.

Fiscus has competed in five TJGT events. He recently finished 22nd at the TJGT Spring Preview April 22-23 at Bear Creek Golf Club in Waco. In the Texas Legends Junior Tour’s Mark Brooks Shootout, Fiscus finished in a tie for eighth place.

Two weeks ago, Fiscus won the Class 3A Region II Golf Tournament at Tanglewood Resort in Pottsboro. He had a final round of 69 for a two-round total of 148. His final round also included a hole-in-one on the 133-yard No. 12 hole.
Fiscus, who was also the District 15-3A medalist, has helped Spring Hill win seven of 10 tournaments this spring.
The Tyler Rose Junior Invitational is 36 holes.
Golfers, both male and female, age 12-18 will be entered.

The tournament offers exemptions into the American Junior Golf Association tournaments and it is a Golfweek ranked-event.
