May 8: A Proven Leader
I voice my sincere support and hope for the election of Laura Corbett as the next mayor of Tyler. Laura is a proven leader and selfless servant of our great city.

As president of the Greater Tyler Association of Realtors as well as a local real estate broker and owner, I've had the pleasure of serving with Laura in positions of leadership through our association.

As a longtime member of the real estate community, Laura has been a continuing advocate for personal property rights. She knows and understands the needs of our local citizens and property owners. This is one of the greatest reasons I believe Ms. Corbett would make an excellent mayor.

The association of Realtors is not an organization known to merely "support our own." Early in the campaign process the Greater Tyler Association of Realtors Political Affairs Committee held candidate interviews extending invitations to all candidates seeking office be it city or county so we might identify those candidates worthy of our organization's endorsement. Ms. Corbett was the only mayoral candidate who showed up to answer the questions of our organization. Further, she was prepared, professional and didn't for one second take for granted her role as a real estate professional. In fact, she merely reinforced my belief she is the right person for the job of Tyler's mayor.

Tyler would be most well served with Ms. Corbett as mayor. Being a former council woman, an entrepreneur, a personal property rights advocate and tireless community servant all qualify her as a wonderful candidate to lead us into Tyler's amazing future.

Jason F. Wright,
President, Greater Tyler
Association of Realtors
Tyler
