May 8: Reader Says America Just Chases Buck
In reading your story of the celebration of Cinco de Mayo, it's a wonder every foreign flag doesn't fly over the United States. It's done strictly for profit, and there is potential for all kinds of money to be made in this country.
What is puzzling is: If it is so great in their country, why are they over here? Why not adopt our customs rather than bring their baggage along?
America has become a nation, not united or homogenized, but a nation that is torn into many groups, all pulling against each other, all in the name of profit.
