May 6: Terrific Addition
ROSES: I've had the privilege of meeting and working with the people behind the Historic Aviation Memorial Museum for many months now.
Since they've moved to the old Tyler Pounds Airport terminal building, I've seen their wonderful collection of aviation-related archives displayed in a professional and heart-felt manner. Many of these items are personal items of the board and volunteers.
I think it's worth saying that for all the outstanding work done in the past and continuing into the future, everyone that is active with this organization does an extremely good job of educating the public and saving an extremely important part of history.
I fear the majority of the community fails to understand what kind of hard work this effort takes over the years through agreeing to disagree, differences of opinions, resolutions, squabbles and celebrations, this group of people has maintained their respect for one another and focused on their mission statement in honor and memory of those serving in the aviation industry.
Thank you and congratulations to the board, volunteers and members of the Historic Aviation Memorial Museum on the grand opening of a terrific addition to the community. Good job.
