May 6: Above The Call
ROSES: Being a disabled veteran, I would like to thank my fellow disabled veterans who volunteer in the Veteran's Service Office located in the Cotton Belt Building in Tyler.

These volunteers were recognized at a recent Smith County Commissioners' Court meeting for their volunteerism. They were presented with the President's Volunteer Service Award, a national honor offered in recognition of volunteer service.

Dwayne Garner, Brown-sboro, Shari Stephens, Tyler, Henry Falgoust, Chapel Hill, and Dennis Henderson, Ben Wheeler, all received awards.

I speak for all disabled veterans when I say these volunteers "go above the call" in helping their veteran brothers and sisters.
