Local Businesses Descend On Longview For Business Expo
About 60 companies and organizations will showcase their products and services at the Longview Business Expo today at Maude Cobb Convention & Activity Center, the Longview Chamber of Commerce Announced.
The expo will be flanked by the Longview Partnership luncheon from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., and Business After Hours from 5-7 p.m.
The luncheon will include the graduation of the 2007-08 Leadership Longview class, the 26th graduating group. Leader-ship Longview promotes the generation of progressive and effective community leadership.
Winners of the 2008 Small Business Awards will also be announced during the luncheon. Special recognition will be given to the 2008 Small Business of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year and Tourism Partner of the Year as well as the newest addition, Minority Business of the Year.
Following the luncheon, the Business EXPO Exhibitor Hall will open to the business community, and will remain open until Business After Hours begins.
The event is open to Longview Chamber of Commerce members and their guests. It will also officially kick-off the Longview Partner-ship's newest initiative, the Longview Young Professionals Network for people 21-39.
