May 5: Mayoral Endorsement by Current Council Disturbing
While I am pleased two capable women are running for the position of Tyler mayor, I am perplexed by the current council's recent endorsement.

Traditionally, newspapers have endorsed candidates as have former mayors and councilmen.

My preference is for the traditional practice to continue. It seems more prudent to not create obstacles that might impede a good working relationship with whomever wins the election. I personally find this development disturbing.
