May 2: Demanding Job
The job of mayor of the city of Tyler is demanding, requiring 20 or more hours a week, and it doesn't pay a dime.

We have been fortunate for many years that intelligent, dedicated people have volunteered to make our city the best it can be.

I want to add Barbara Bass to that list of mayors. She has served on and chaired many civic and non profit local organizations. I have served on several boards with her and she has the attributes of a leader. She is hard working, thoroughly organized and completely dependable. But, more importantly, she listens to what others say and is open to new ideas and solutions.

We all want Tyler to continue to prosper, grow and I believe Barbara is the right choice to lead and represent us now.

I want to add that all three of the candidates are winners. They care enough about their city to be willing to serve. Thanks to all three.

R.C. Curtis
