May 2: Tylerite Sees McCain As Answer For America
When the opposing political forces square off this fall, the struggle will be a reminder of the Great Marianna's Turkey Shoot of World War II. That epic struggle had a magnificent outcome and I have high hopes for this important contest outcome as well.

In my view, the top gun and pilot in this struggle is Commander John McCain, the only leader among the numerous contenders who alone has the skills, training, discipline and attitude that will result in any semblance of respect and appreciation of our citizens, allies and adversaries.

I suspect our adversaries believe this more readily than many of the chattering class. Talk too often is easy, requiring minimum effort and can be deceitful and selfish. The Lord says we will be judged by what we have done, not by what we have said.

John McCain's military record of serving 20 years, 5 1/2 of which was as a POW, refusing an opportunity to leave his fellow captives behind and come home early was magnificent and tells me what he is made of, what he will do when the going gets tough, and it will. He has demonstrated the character to act judiciously.

Go John McCain.
