May 1: Barbara Bass Proven Leader
Tyler citizens have an opportunity to elect a proven leader as their next mayor. Barbara Bass is that leader.

She has served the community for 30 years as a business and civic leader, volunteer and visionary. I have known her more than 20 years and have been privileged to participate with her on boards and observe her work in the community.

Barbara is smart, honest, dedicated and hardworking. When she makes a commitment, you can count on her to fulfill it. Through the years I have seen her lead by example and I have watched her mentor and encourage others to help them succeed.

She is an independent thinker and consensus builder who listens.

Barbara has characteristics you cannot buy. She has integrity which others recognize and ask her to share by speaking to college students about its importance in business and life. She is compassionate. I have witnessed her comfort others who are suffering.

As a CPA who has worked with Texas governmental agencies, Barbara brings financial experience, knowledge and strength to the job.

She has the passion. She has the energy. She has the business skills. She has the knowledge. She has the experience. But I believe it is her compassion and heart that make Barbara Bass the outstanding choice for mayor.
