For 24 years I have watched Barbara Bass contribute, without compensation, to the well-being of Tylerites. A tireless, selfless, volunteer she has learned what makes Tyler tick from the inside. Her energy, acumen and professional skills have led to appointments on important city committees and commissions.
As a professional public accountant, Barbara Bass deals with management, personnel and finance issues on a daily basis. She understands the real costs of doing business and what business leaders want when searching for a place to locate and create new jobs.
Finally, what kind of person is she? Former Supreme Court Justice Potter Stuart defined ethics as knowing the difference between what is our right and what is the right thing to do.
