May 1: Laura Corbett Displays Many Qualities
When it comes to extraordinary leadership qualities, business experience, communication skills, a staunch supporter of Tyler, a wealth of community involvement and many other qualities, there is only one mayoral candidate who can rightfully make those claims and she is Laura Corbett.

Laura served more than seven years on the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee and served as chairman of the Tyler Convention and Visitors Board. She worked with seven chamber chairmen.

Under her leadership the CVB attracted more conventions and tourists to Tyler than ever before. She personally presented our proposals to the NJCAA for sporting events and successfully secured the NJCAA Baseball Division III World Series and the NJCAA Soccer Championship.

She has been recognized for her outstanding business experience, receiving numerous awards including, Hotel General Manager of the Year, Sam Walton Business Leader Award, Texas Hospitality Hero Award and Realtor of the Quarter.

Laura is well known and highly respected in her ability to communicate and listen effectively.

Elected to three terms on the Tyler City Council, her constituents will tell you Laura was always available, responded to their concerns and took action when needed.

I can't think of a more dedicated supporter of Tyler than Laura Corbett.

Her community involvement is endless. She currently serves on several boards and has chaired or volunteered for dozens more.
