Professionalism, leadership, honesty, integrity, compassion, conviction and heart are characteristics that come to mind when I think of Laura Corbett.

I just wanted to share a personal knowledge of my candidate for mayor of the great city of Tyler in order for other voters to have an insight into the character of this candidate.

I have worked with Laura Corbett on a volunteer basis and a professional basis. She is a strong leader in both situations. She is one of the best negotiators I have ever had the privilege to work with. She listens to all sides, puts all the information into perspective, weighs the options, chooses the best path and gives sound reasons as to why that path is the one to go down.

She has a true love of Tyler. Like many of us, I have been here all my life, yet her dedication and love of our city puts many of us to shame. She knows more about this city than most of us will ever know. She does not mind rolling up her sleeves and working hard. She puts everything she has into her task at hand.

She never met a stranger and everyone is equal in her eyes. She has been a true inspiration to me both professionally and as a friend. Laura Corbett is one person I would stand with in any situation.

I would be proud to have her as our next mayor Tyler. I hope you will join me in voting for Laura Corbett. She will do this city a great service as mayor! Laura Corbett's experience does count, and given the opportunity, that experience will make a difference.
