April 30: Most Qualified
We Tylerites are facing an upcoming mayoral election that will have a direct impact on the future of our city. Therefore it is essential the most qualified be elected. That person is, without a doubt, Laura Corbett.
Laura's commitment of dedicated service to the citizens of Tyler began 10 years ago when she was elected to the city council to represent the Northeast District 4. As an elected official she embraced and pledged to follow the newly established "Blueprint" which was then and still is today the foundation of our city's many initiatives.
After Laura's successful six year run at City Hall as a council member she continued her commitment to citizens of Tyler by stepping up again and serving the past four years as one of seven representatives to the critical Half Cent Sales Tax Board, which is responsible for selection of capital improvement projects throughout out city.
In order to continue the great accomplishments of the past 12 years, this is no time to deviate the course. Further, it is imperative we stay the course to assure we continue the same fiscal responsibility and to continue to be good stewards of taxpayer dollars. Please join me in voting for and electing Laura Corbett our next mayor.
