RANT: I never cease to wonder at the mentality of people that insist on having vicious dogs for "pets." Are they that terrified to live in their neighborhoods? Do they think having a mean dog makes them more of a man? "I'm tough, look at my dog."

Do you suppose that eventually, some local or state authority will finally ban pit bulls? Not likely. You would then be violating the owner's right to keep a "junk-yard dog" in a residential area. At the least, laws need to be enacted that make it a felony to be the owner of a vicious dog that gets loose and attacks a person or pet of anybody else. I'm talking about automatic serious jail time, no scolding, slap on the wrist, or probation - jail time.
