April 27: Helped In Success
ROSES: Huge bouquets of roses to the businesses and patrons who so generously donated to the Apache Belle Gold organization to provide hospitality for the Apache Belles, Apache Belle Guard, Harmony and Understanding, staff, and crew during the Spring Show rehearsals and performances recently. The show was a great success.
Businesses who showed support with donations for snacks, water and ice were Sam's Warehouse, Wal-Mart on South Broadway - Gail Taylor, Brookshire Grocery at Loop East - Jimmy Horton, Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Tyler - Amy Cunningham and Gary Gibson, Dr. Pepper Bottling Company of Tyler - Tom Tyler and Myra Massey, and Insurance One Agency - Beverly Uzzell, Manager/Agent. Since many hours of practice and work go into making the show an outstanding performance, the refreshments were greatly appreciated and enjoyed. Special thanks also to members of the Apache Belle Gold who gave so generously for the refreshments and of their time volunteering in various capacities before and during the performance.
The Apache Belles celebrated their 60th anniversary in 2007. Since inception in 1947, the Apache Belles have been ambassadors for the city of Tyler and Tyler Junior College. The Apache Belle Gold members are former Belles whose mission is to show support and assist the present Apache Belles, Guard, and two amazing ladies - director Ruth Flynn and assistant director Christy Evans.
