RESPONSE: This is in response to Dwight Hall's letter about the Pope Benedict's visit. Yes, you are going to get raked over the coals and not by a Catholic, but by a Baptist deacon.

I agree we can talk to the Lord directly. We don't have to have an intermediary to speak on our behalf. But, you knew that when you wrote the letter you were going to draw some criticism. Criticizing someone else's religion is inexcusable.

How would you feel if a Catholic wrote a rude letter like the one you wrote about a visit from Billy Graham?

The Reverend Graham has held crusades all over the world, preaching the very thing you profess in your letter. Have you ever read or heard of anyone, especially a Catholic, criticize Billy Graham like you did the Pope?

I think you owe every Catholic who read your letter an apology. Criticize someone about their political beliefs, but leave a person's religion to them.
