April 26: Politicians' Promises Ludicrous To Believe
Most people have pretty good use for their nose. I'm part of that group. If my face were to upset me about something, would I cut off my nose just to get back at my face?
Politicians who will promise to fight certain trade agreements, or stop unpopular wars are hunting for votes in ways that will cost some noses. When a known enemy of America gets that big happy look on its face it should send a clue to someone what we are planning to do might not be in our best interest.
It is always better to work out problems based on truth, rather than going with whatever seems popular at the time. Politicians will support the popular solution because they are after votes even if it does mean some noses will be coming off. Some solutions only serve to create bigger problems.
There always will be issues that make life less than perfect. We don't need solutions that only add to the problem list. If the world market and world terrorism are part of reality, then what are politicians doing when they promise things that will only serve to cut off our nose if they carry out their plan of action? Is this la la land? Their promises are necessary for one purpose - they get votes. Do American voters have a brain disconnect when they listen to political smooth talk?
When we are running around without a nose, will those same politicians step up and take the blame. Not on your noseless face. If you are interested in keeping your nose intact, don't listen to political promises during elections. Make your vote mean something. Vote for someone who uses the truth as the guide for their plan of action.
The nose you save may be your own.
